yep, i agree man. hell my great grand father lived to be in his 80s before getting hit by pancreatic cancer and died shortly thereafter. everyone else has or is still kicking to ripe old ages with no issues other than diet induced issues

Things do not always have to 'run in the family". It has to start somewhere. Speaking of such, fuzo's Mom has had 4 different cancers and 1/2 of her pancreas removed. No wonder why I get a lil overly concerned

not that i wont get tested because it is always better to say on top of these things but, it occurs more in black men for some reason and also doc's are far more concerned with family history. idk how much weight that carries but that's what i have both read and been told. they also say that testing and false positives resulting in biopsy creates a much greater risk in health men. chemical castration is some scary crap to live a little bit longer though

I worked in Oncology for 7 years and saw many men come in for tx with Prostate CA. Maybe it was due to the area we live in, but I don't think I even saw one black male come in there with prostate ca. Interesting though. I am glad Fuzo gets his PSA done yearly

No youre right baby it doesn't have to. In my family anyway, it seems like the people that worked hard in a physical way stayed healthy longer. I'm hopeing I'll be one of those lucky ones. The only things really wrong with me are from injuries.

wow, i read and thought it was up to 60-70% higher in black men. i may be higher on the numbers but that's what i remember. what's funny is i was just having this discussion with a black friend of mine that was having some issues. he is 40 and i told him dont dick around because it can and will kill you if they dont catch it early enough. yep and he still hasnt went in yet

I know prostate is only with men of course but the women in my family have always been prone to get cancer. Almost all of them did except my great grandmother she was the oldest person in the state until she passed.

But I still worry bc is so prevalent with them. Like guns was saying that scary stuff, idk if id rather just have cancer than be castrated lol.

I had a lifting buddy that ended up with prostate cancer. Few yrs. younger then me
That man didn't miss a beat at the gym or 1 once of muscle
                      Now he is cancer free

How do you think women feel who have breast ca and mastectomies? Prostate c tends to be a less aggressive cancer but still nothing to mess around with. I rarely saw patients who had, it and it metastasized. However, that was just in one place. The problem is the test levels drop and estro rises as men age, as you know, and then estrogen is another feeder of cancer. that's why it is sort of puzzling when you see that test causes PC. Who knows anymore

Good information and good discussion. Thanks for posting this. Good reminder to get psa checked . Just do everything we possibly can to prevent problems. Just hope that years of HRT will be more helpful than harmful. Im not sure where to find a doctor to go to for all that kind of stuff. I definitely need to start getting checked out every year or so. Like that commercial says "Real men wear gowns!" lol
