As some of you know I'm dealing with kidney stones for the second time this year. Today unfortunately I ended up at the ER because it figures I am passing one. I was doing some research on why people get them and it say your more likely to be male and in your forties. It also states most are made up of calcium so stay away from green leafy veggies sweet potatoes and red meat. Which for most of us that would be a big part of your diet. One thing I kept coming up with is fresh lemons every day. The doc at the ER said it today also take half of a lemon squeeze it and mix it with water or apple cider visited. Anyone else have these issues and does anyone do the lemon or the apple cider. I'm doing it because this sucks. Just wondering and Merry Christmas guys and gals.

That sucks bro. Sorry, I have had a few friends get them. One of them had there doc tell him it was from a lot of carbonated beverages. Both of them had a pretty shitty diet for sure.

Avoid drinking alcoholic drinks and increase water intake. Doctors know best for your health. There's no harm in trying lemon or the apple cider treatment. If not, your doctor might suggest surgical procedure such as laser therapy or open cholecystectomy.Comment

Believe it or not but the BP med lisinopril at 2.5 mg per day helps a lot. My Dr put me on that to reduce kidney stone formationComment

Sorry gunner I really hope u feel better soon my freind. My x- wife got a stone 3'times a year from mello- yellow the doc kept telling her not to drink

Yes I hope you have a better year in 2015. I do remember you mentioning the same thing at the end of 2013 too. Maybe try starting 2015 with more positive outlook? Noone has the perfect life and at the end of the year, why say it has been a bad year? We have both had a bit of hard luck this year. Yes good has also come of it but it's been a rough year for both of us.
