  • MCT OIL

So I was reading about oils because I am allergic to many things and oils are one of them. I always have to check and see what is exactly in them. Many oils are full of GMOS also. Interesting enough I have always heard great things about MCT oil but while it has proven to be beneficial for many things it also has some side effects and if someone is adiabetic...it is not good to use it

    SIDE EFFECTS OF MCT

MCTs are safe for most people when taken by mouth or given intravenously (by IV). They can cause diarrhea, vomiting, irritability, nausea, stomach discomfort, intestinal gas, essential fatty acid deficiency, and other side effects. Taking MCTs with food might reduce some side effects. Special Precautions & Warnings:

Diabetes: MCTs can cause certain chemicals called ketones to build up in the body. This can be a problem for people with diabetes. Avoid using MCTs if you have diabetes.

Liver problems: Because MCTs are processed primarily by the liver, they can cause serous problems in people with liver disease. Do not use MCTs if you have cirrhosis or other liver problems.

    Re: MCT OIL

Interesting info. I use Mct oil by now and put it in my preworkout drink and during workout drink instead of carbs for extra fuel. I can't say I've experienced any of the mentioned side affects, I always have gas.

            Re: MCT OIL

MCT Oil was always a staple while doing a cyclic keto diet during the first couple week adjustment phase. Allows me to maintain energy levels before my body adapts to the keto diet. After the first 2 weeks or so I would usually drop them. Havent done a ckd in a while though.

Coconut oil makes me very nauseated and will clean me out, lol, kills my stomach. If I put it on my skin, it makes me itch. I told you I was difficult

                  Re: MCT OIL

WEll it hurts my tummy and it is a form of stearic acid and that is an ingredient I have become extremely sensitive to making it difficult to eat things or even use things on my skin. It is in sooo many things and it doesn't matter if it is labeled "stearic acid from vegetable sources" or nit...my body doesn't like it.
