I got a vitamix blender. It comes in handy. I use it when making protein pancakes (whole or steel cut oats, eggs, cottage cheese, cinnamon, vanilla extract) blend them all together nicely.

Also have used it to make flour out of almonds and other nuts.

Finally it destroys everything so you can make some exotic shakes.

I don't do shakes much anymore as I enjoy eating my food vs drinking it.

I inherited a vitamix.. I wouldn't spend 800 bucks on one as I am a bit cheap.. I do love the thing when I need it.. its got some horse power no doubt

the ninja system is much cheaper and it is pretty freaking powerful also. the oyster is very cheap and does the job also but we broke down this year and got the ninja system. i have a high dollar food processor with all the bells and whistles too but we normally only break it out when we are making more than one thing

Mine was around $300-$400. Not $800 but yes it is expensive. If it breaks I would get a ninja like guns said.

i will bbq it up and cut it into chunks. then i toss it in the food processor with either rice and salsa or sweet potatoes. then i pulse them all together, then you can add whatever you want for flavor from bbq sauce to ketchup. it really depends on what carbs i am having and if i am adding them to the processor.[/QUOTE]

Man that is a great idea thanks
