  • Insurance won't cover testosterone

So I have been on TRT for a year and half or so. I always had a hard time getting script filled 10ml vial 200mg/ml 100mg/wk. Fortunately I found a store that would accept the script and worded so it would be filled.

Well I dropped my work insurance because rates went up and switched to wifes.

Went to get script filled and they said because my insurance will only do a 30 day coverage I can't get insurance to fill the script. Now I gotta pay $65 out of pocket instead of $25.

My doc wanted to give me a script for 1ml vials but heck even though insurance covered it the price was almost the same as the multiusage vial.

    Very frustrated.

$65 is still better than the whole cost of the script

Years ago when I was in LE back home, the city insurance didn't cover the test that my doctor had prescribed to me. Luckily for me however, I was working part time at a drug store and my insurance with them covered it. I was paying $20 for Test C-250. Hell, I was a big time newbie back then and didn't know how well I had it til now.

Swole I am aware that sources can provide cheap priced gear. This is true TRT and I want pharmaceutical grade and not have to worry about quality or accuracy of dosage, etc.

Baby $65 is the whole cost of the script. None of it is being picked up on insurance. Luckily where I go they have good prices on testosterone...other stores like walgreens, etc. wanted like $100 a bottle.

Thechosen...sounds like you did had a nice set up...considering I am saving $1K a year on insurance I can handle the extra $45 a bottle

Yep for a long time it cost me 110 a month because insurance didn't cover it... Then I just decided to go with my source... So glad I have to pay for insurance that seems to cover nothing.

for me, insurance said they would not cover it. but my doc said it was medically necessary due to severe side effects of low T and they covered it. then my doc moved away and the new doc said he did not believe in test replacement. have me a shot of HCG and said good luck. $25 for depo test was awesome

find a new doc man. mine sold his practice and went to the hospital to work because of the ahca. the people that bought him out i went and saw one time and i walked out of the appointment. i hated losing that doc because he knew everything that i did and didnt judge me at all. he took very good care of me and what we do and gave me hrt as well as kept everything health wise in check. now i just have to find another one that isnt stupid or look down on you for your choice of lifestyle and what you put in your body

Insurance is a racket. They more or less charge whatever they feel and try to "justify" the prices by so called research expense.I went to the doc for a script of viagra.,the insurance charge $20 a Pill and for 3 stupid pill's which the doc wrote for $60! Shit..,for $60 i get 60 mL of viagra though research Chem Store!

finding a doc that is not a low T specialist is hard. a primary care guy that will script out T and get it covered it wonderful.

                            have not found one yet.

how i found mine and it was wonderful was i went in for some general stuff and just started up the cnovo about when i finished show prep. he said he would run bloods for me and get me started up then when i go into offseaon mode or even show prep he would do bloods to make sure that i was in reasonable ranges for health and not getting to far out of control and causing perm damage to myself. that doc was as cool as they come and the last to general guys i have seen i havent went back to at all. not because of them not taking care of me but just their general views of meds and how they carried themselves. that doc told me straight up that he couldnt give diet change advice to his patients or lifestyle change suggestions when he was 75lbs over weight himself. so he cleaned up his diet and made time to do cardio and lift a little. that's a good doctor, not to mention the dude would never quote out of a ref book or study. he would always say, my patients that have tried such and such and this is what it did and didnt do for them and he would be straight up honest about meds just being garbage and they were just used to make money off of you
