Sure there is.
With the grain, against it, sideways.
Straight razor, regular razor. Before or after shower.

I've never gone mr clean but thinking about it greatly as my dad's genes became more prominent.
I'd do it if I wasn't afraid of 5 o'clock shadow on my head, or it growing back with Ingrown hairs.

I'd imagine you'd want to use a nice flexible razor brother. I remember when I used my wife's fancy flexible shaver for her legs to shave my face...WOW what a world of difference from those cheap 2 blade fixed razors ha ha!

i use a sheik triple blade, cant remember the name of it but it has a green handle. i say the best thing to do is not go against the grain to prevent bumps and irritation. i also try to keep mine shaved 2x a wk. i do mine before a hot shower also. that is what has worked best for me

When you have genetics working against you, do it. My dad pulls a homer simpson thinking its okay to comb over the last few hairs he has left. Why on gods earth does he even pay someone to cut his hair?

I go number 1 with the clippers and been thinking about going down to skin. Worst case it grows back in a couple weeks.

I went no guard once, not my look, and wife said I looked to scary ha ha!

I just open the teeth all the way up on my clippers and do everything!

I use a razor for mine. I definitely wouldn't use the cheap throw away razors on your head. I use the Gillette Sensor Excel razors. Mach 3 type razor is just too awkward for me on my head. Sensor Excel works perfect on my noggin.

Have a woman do it for you. Also, I think the Venus would work well to get it really close and smooth. It works very well on men.
