  • glutamin/creatine together?

is it true that glutamin and creatine is not good together?

  • #2
I have alway heard they fight for absorbtion. Take the glutamine about 1 hour after the creatine and you should be ok.

Glutamine has been proven worthless, but if you did infact waste your money, they can be taken together.

You guys have never heard of them fighting for absobtion? I have heard this for a long time. I dont take glutamine but I have in the past and taken it both ways. I couldnot really tell a difference either way or when I was off.

I take 2 grams of glute with my creatine after a workout with 1/4 cup of dextrose. I am not worried about absorbtion or usefullness of glutamine I get it so cheap. but I feel it does help with recovery. imo

I'm sure you already know this, but for everyone else, you should be taking some sort of protein after a workout. Whey and dextrose is a good combo. You can take creatine or glutamine with it, but protein is essential.

Not sure exactly .When I was on fitnessboard that was the general concensus. It is not that big of deal to come back 1 hour later and take the glutamine so thats what I did. Ill try to dig up some facts about it and post . I

It was a myth. They do not compete for absorbtion.

I never reallly followed it p much because I am one of those who think glutamine is highly overrated So I never used it much.
