Well hell! Even better right? Eat those complex carbs early in the day, have your energy for everyday tasks, have your pre-workout 'meal', have a good, energetic workout, post workout shake, burn fat the remainder of the day. Sounds logical to me.
Your not my brother. I think you're an asshole that just likes to argue. It's becoming very obvious.
Not arguing, teaching.
This was given when I PM'ed the diet to him. He didn't post it, and I don't have it in front of me.
Ok, I know you're full of shit but..... maybe I'll PM and get it from him or better yet, go to "Sent PMs" and you can get the PM you sent to him with it in there and post it here for me....
(let me guess, you deleted it )
I want to saty away. Really I do, but I guess I just can't turn my back on a guy like you.
No you cant turn your back, you've been asked questions, answer them or back out, simple. Point is, you cant explain why you chose certain items and when, thats weak. You obviously have no background in nutrition, etc. You came back with this post with no useful, or logical, info. Which only confirms my previous thoughts that you cant back what you preach.
Now you really are just being an asshole. I'm ok with a friendly debate - but this is not my type of debate. I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else on this board. The guy asked for my help - I helped him out.
Sodas results speak volumes.
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

Lame. Not a very good scapegoat. His results are good, but could be better. But you have no idea how to make them better. I cant even get a couple answers from you, but dont worry, I'll remember this beating, be careful in the future.

What is this some kind of threat, toughguy?

What the hell do you know about diet? The shit you talk is the same lame-ass BS that every self proclaimed expert spews. Your diet suggestions are weak and outdated. Now shut up and go eat your wheaties and milk.
Ouch, now come on.... let's be fair. You had your ass handed to you one a silver tray in this thread, take it as not a defeat, yet a learning experience. Self proclaimed expert? No way. Although I have a degree in it, what do you have? Besides the Richard Simmons news letter. I mean fuck, you cant even provide the macronutrient ratios to your lackluster collage of nonsense. What do I know about diets? Besides I make close to six figures a year laying them out, went from 16 people I advised in 2001, to close to two hundred at the start of this year, I guess nothing
So until you can refute the above mentioned items with science, please do not PM me anymore, your merit is slowly declining, my advice is to keep quiet before you prove your ingorance even further.

Not sure I get that allusion, but like I said, if you want to play slap nuts, do it with someone else, if you refuse to answer my questions, then thats cool, its over. I have better, and more entertaining, things to do than punk some kid.

Of course, when making someone a projected meal plan, its always good have 1 or 2 people review it, you're doing it for the benefit of the individual, not your ego. So if someone corrects you, either refute it with facts and references or roll with it, it will only make you more wise.
How long (in minutes) before training do you recommend eating the apple?
Also, do you really need the small amount of carbs pre-workout? What if you just eat protein/fat a couple hours prior to training, and then for you two PW meals have you carbs, then go carb-less again?
This is what I've been doing, constructive criticism is welcome
Training days: meal 1: 8oz 93% lean ground beef patty (squeeze between paper towels after cooking), 1Tb flax, 3 caps fish oil meal 2: PW drink, 50g whey, 75g dextrose, 300mg r-ALA meal 3:(1.5 hours after PW drink) white rice (75g carb), cottage cheese (45g pro), splenda, cinnamin, 200mg r-ALA meal 4: 8oz chicken brest, 1Tbs flax, 3 fish oil caps meal 5: 8oz 93% lean ground beef, 1Tbs flax, 2 fish oil caps, 3Tbs pysillium husk
I think your diet looks prety good JG. A little more fat than I like to have in my diet, but I like your approach.
I normally eat an apple, or bannana, or orange on my way to the gym. I walk to the gym and it's about a 10 min walk. But about 20-30 min out would be best. You don't have to have the carbs before your workout, but my workouts suffer if I don't eat a few. Plus, I'm hypoglycemic, so I tend to feel sick about half way through my workout if I skip the carbs.

Forgot to add - be carefull with meal number 4 on training days. Depending on the time between meal 3 and 4, insulin may still be a little elevated, and that could cause problems if you take in a lot of fat while insulin levels are high.
Edit: Also, if ketosis is your goal, fruit is not a good choice of carbs. Dextrose would be better suited. Maybe split your post workout dextrose between pre and post workout.
