    Re: SHINER---ARTICLES FOR YA

Sorry to hear about the struggles, bro. I know how frustrating that can be. But it sounds like you've definitely made some good progress. Also, it seems that if your water was down, potassium down, and sodium up....well you couldn't even TRY to bloat yourself any better than that bro. So don't get to down about it. Your diet has been dead on and you're seeing results (5% is nice). Plus, water is easy to get rid of. I'd be willing to bet that you actually DID drop some this week. Like you said, it's probably the water. have a good trip, bro......Shiner

NIIICE! glad you made it through an eventful weekend and still made progress.

Last night was the first night in 12 + days I've worked out. I've been so sick, that when I try to run or lift, I start coughing so bad that I almost throw up. Doc said it was an upper resperatory infection. But thankfully i'm over it now and last night was great. Official net loss as of this morning was from 216 to 202. So only one pound last week.....my diets been spotless throughout, so that's all that's saved me.

            Peace bro's and good luck

no more than 40% of your calories. maybe less for certain people. i usually do about 1 gram per lb when i run this diet which is around 25%.

Ok just letting you guys know in advance. Im thinking about dropping this diet and just eating clean. Im losing a lot of size, everyone can see it and Im not liking it at all. At first I was loosing in my face and stomach more, but now Im losing size in my arms and chest. Maybe this isnt for me. I'll let a few of you reply with your opinions before I quit.

how much fat are you eating and how often. if you have a high enough fat intake then your body won't use protein as energy, this diet if done properly is meant to preserve your muscle and burn all fat. my guess is your fat and calorie in take is not high enough

I know that I had that problem (along w/ sugar consumption) and this diet has helped me fix it, as well. Actually I'm glad that we get more fat....that means steaks, burgers and chicken and that we don't have to necessarily buy the bland/lean cuts of them....gotta love it!

Crom....sorry to hear that you're losing size, bro. I'm sure that you already thought of this, but whenever you cut up, you muscle size dimenishes mainly in appearance b/c of the following:
*no glycogen in the muscles due to cutting carbs
*no water in the muscles due to cutting carbs
*cardio has been upped' therefore the body condenses the muscles to make them more efficient. this doesn't necessarily mean that they've gotten smaller....mostly it's just appearance.
Once you adjust your levels back to normal, they'll fill back up....think about how thick and full they look on the sunday nights after the weekend carb up?!? Good luck bro, and do what you thinks right, as you know your body better than anyone....Shiner

Update...Official net loss from 216 to 201. Seems to be slowing down, but still working. Might up the intensity of cardio later this weeks if it stops all together. Good luck to you folks

Letting you guys know, I decided to start eating carbs again. I'm taking this as a good thing, I know my BF went down quite a bit and now I can start bulking again. People at the lake this weekend said I looked a lot more defined which is awesome, they just said I lost weight in my chest and arms. I'll give this diet another shot when I hit 265. Till then you guys dont let me try to cut again.
