    Day 8 update:

Starting today im doing 7-8 squirts twice a day. When I put it on this morning, my whole chest and arms lit up red and splotchy. its startin to burn a little bit, but its nothing that i cant handle.

The workouts have been going great. Ive been supplementing with 20gs of ephedra and a cup of coffee before workouts, and thats been givin me a great kickstart. Im in the gym 6 days a week, 2 hrs a day, workin out like a freakin animal. And not to worry, im eating like a champ!

My strength is slowly increasing and im definitely starting to get a thicker look. i put on about 3-4# of water in the first week.

My elbows are not really giving me too much pain at all, as im wearin a brace on one arm and am on week 3 or 4 of glucosamine/chond and MSM.

Im lookin forward to tearin it up with my back workout today, and then ive got a nice home cooked meal comin my way tonite...YEAAAHHH!!

Phil I would change your application spots. Also 2 hrs of lifting is twice the amount you should be doing. Remember more is not always better. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work.

thats basically the same split that im doing--i just like to take my time in the gym and use a full 2 hrs...i know that 2 hrs is pushin the limit of workout time, but it aint so bad for me is it? Ive got big pockets of time in the day and i can afford to spend a full two hours in there workin hard. if i can spare the time, would u say its pretty acceptable? if not, ill split it into two times a day (the two muscle groups) if you think that will be more beneficial

also, im pretty limited in application spots. i switch between left and right upper arms, left and right pecs and shoulder areas. i had to shave my stomach and chest to even get the spots that ive got. otherwise ive got hair all over my legs and even the top of my feet. any ideas on that?

ive also noticed that ive gained a layer of fat on my stomach since i started...i saw in some other posts that this isnt too abnormal when ur eatin this much. anything i should do as of now, or just not worry about it and wait til pct?

The problem is that cortisol starts to enter the muscles and your workout actually starts working against you instead of for you. You need to get in go hard and intense and get out. Try taking 1 gram of vitamin C before your workouts. That will help blunt cortisol.

With using all of those application spots I'm surprised you are seeing irritation. Personally I would shave my quad, but I'm not a hairy person so it's easy for me to say that. I guess you will have to decide for yourself.

I'm sure most of that layer is not fat and is water. Just keep eating clean. Watch your fats and carbs intake and worry about your gains.

On the first point- ill get the vit c and start it tomorrow
#2- ill shave my quads and start applying there
#3-ya, youve gotta be right, bc ive been eating pretty clean and definitely have been watching carbs and fat intake

as far as the workouts go--with the vitamin c, will i still be able to do those long workouts? its just that i cant go thru every exercise that id like to in an hr or less, plus the fact that i enjoy taking my time in the gym. i have been noticing lately tho that by the end of my workouts ive been gettin down...

heres my routine (whattya think?) :
                      all excercises are done in sets of 4 (8, 6, 4, 2)

Day 1 Chest and shoulders day
                      bench press
incline db presses superset with flat db flies
db pullovers straightarm superset w/ chest dips
                      chest cables
                      db shoulder presses
                      lateral raises
                      front raises
                      ABS

                      Day 2 Back and arms
Warm up with two sets of light deadlifts
Barbell bicep curls, superset w/ tricep db extensions, superset w/upright rows for back
Deadlifts superset with seated supinated bicep db curls with Tricep skullcrushers
                      Seated back machine
                      tricep cable extension
                      standing db supinating curls
                      Concentration bicep curls
                      shrugs

                      Day 3 LEGS

no problems with keeping this one under an hour

                      Day 4 Chest
Flat db presses superset w/ incline db flies
                      Incline barbell press
                      Chest Machine
                      Peck Deck

                      Day 5 Arms and Back
Wide bar cable pull down for lats
Bicep barbell reverse curls superset with hammer curls
V-bar pull down for middle lats
                      Standing alternating db bicep curls
                      Machine concentration curls
                      closegrip leaning forward back machine
                      ABS

Should I take out exercises, change my sets, any advice helps, as i trust and value ur opinion and advice...

2 hour workouts with supersets = OVERTRAINING

No way around, that is unless you are extremely gifted genetically and recuperate at an ungodly high rate.

Either cut out the supersets and do your two hour, or do and hour with supersets.

You've got alot of excercises for each body part also.

One thing for sure is you are a master of dedication ans stamina, if you were on a huge cycle maybe.

Just note, not saying you can't train like that, just that 95% of people that is going to be a disastrous routine in the long run.

Oh, you could do the same routine, possibly, if you put one rest day in between each day.

Let's see what others have too say.

                        Good Luck

I keep looking over my routine and i just cant figure out what to cut out of it. each exercise works a different part of the muscle, so i dont know where to differentiate between the crucial ones and the ones i can drop...any suggestions on cuts? (i know the supersets should be gone, but should i still do those lifts?)

First thing I see that I don't like is you are training chest, arms and back twice a week. That is a surefire way to becoming overtrained.

How about a split like this
                            Day 1
                            Chest

                            Day 2
                            Back & bis

                            Day 3
                            Legs

                            Day 4
                            Shoulders & tris

If you want to stick to a 5 day routine then you could just do back and put tris/bis on their own day. See how much less time you need when you aren't overtraining?
