  • Balance of Nature

I've been seeing these damn commercials ALL over the tv and radio. People are making some insane claims about this stuff. Can it really be that great of a product? Sounds like freeze dried fruits and veggies in capsule form. The marketing worked on my folks and they're ordering it to try out. Anyone used this stuff?

Looks like freeze dried fruit and veggies in a pill.

Much more cost effective to get a powder if you want that. I am sure freeze dried stuff is still good for ya but not as good as fresh or frozen.
Get this, not that. You will get 1/2 lbs. of powder. How much can you really fit in 3 one gram caps?

Yeah, I agree. I've been checking it out and I just can't justify the price for however much freeze dried fruits and veggies you can fit in a few capsules. Maybe someone who lives on pizza might get a little nutrients out of it lol, but how much can they really pack in a few capsules? Seems crazy expensive for what you get.

On the other hand they have a great marketing department. Their commercials worked on my folks haha.

Remember Juice Plus? Same exact thing. At least this new stuff on TV isnt multi level. No need to eat a healthy diet, just take a pill instead. lol

hell if you do the math, like dzone pointed out about the juice pro. it would still be cheaper to buy fresh fruits and veges and juice them yourself. it would be easy to justify around 20-30 bucks a month but it is double that and not budget friendly at all

Better than not consuming veggies but limited number of veggies and not concentrated like the powders. I like the taste of V8.

Juicing is all good but IMO blending is best. Juicing you remove a lot of the liquid from the fruit or veggie but you leave the beneficial fiber out and many compounds bound in the skin like ursolic acid from apple skins which does not get translated to your drink well.

IMO if I really had the time and $$$ I would make a smoothie then add juiced broccoli sprouts, kale, basil and such from the juicer to it. It would taste horrible though.
