  • Dark Chocolate

I'm a dark chocolate junkie. I keep it in moderation, but I always have a dark chocolate bar in the house and will sporadically break a piece off here and there.

Anyone else like dark chocolate? Favorite brands/bars? Right now I have an Alter Eco super blackout. (90% cacao)

I do the same. I go break off about enough for 1 bite. I chew and savor it as it slowly melts in my mouth.

I normally do 1 square after lunch then after dinner.

it is real good for you too.

I went to trader joes last week. they have their store brand bars for $1.49 for the 85% and they are good. Wish I had bought a couple more.

Love it and I just usually get a bag of Dove dark chocolates. To many give me hives so that keeps me from eating a bag at once

Lindt and Ghirardelli are my favs. The store brand from the grocer store is a bout a buck cheaper per bar and really good too.

                        Re: Dark Chocolate

I don't like dark chocolate. As in childhood, I loved milk chocolate, and to this day my addiction to milk chocolate has not changed. Favorite chocolate - Milka, I love with Oreo and Strawberry-Yogurt. I'm like a child - so that everything is sweet, with crunchy or with berries.

I love me some Dark Chocolate. Cant really do the 90%. I bought some and had to scoop up vanilla ice cream with them. didn't want to waste them. LOL
I've been into the Intense Dark Chocolate 72% Cacao individually wrapped squares by Ghirardelli. Order online. get a case of 6 bags at a time. Leave them in the fridge and try to just grab one at a time.
My wife doesn't like Dark Chocolate so I dont have to share. except when the grand babies come over. they knockout a bag in no time. (They are all girls and get almost anything they want from papa)!

I would for sure use a dark chocolate bar as a spoon for vanilla ice cream. Oh hell yes. Maybe even some pralines and cream from baskins

Of course, the Hershey Special Dark has always been my fave. But I used to frequent just plain old Nestle chocolate chips (chips only, no cookies) to nibble on once in a while.
Trader Joe also have a tub of dark chocolate almonds and chunks with white sprinkles (can't remember the name at the moment).
