I pass at least 3 of these on the way to work every day. (I have an hour commute) I'm guessing people still shop at GNC? I remember back in the day GNC was the place to go for supps, but I couldn't tell you the last time I was in one. With all the new brick and mortar stores out there combined with online sites I'm curious how they stay in business. It's not like when Blockbuster was going out and there were only a couple here and there... I see GNC all over the place. Does anyone still shop there?

I have a couple buddies that one GNCs. One does over a million a year. Crazy. I haven't wanted to pay those prices sense the internet. I like walking through them just to look at all the bullshit. Even GNC online undercuts brick and mortar GNCs. -

Man I don't get it lol. Like who is shopping there? Not slamming GNC, that used to be the only place I shopped a LONG time ago. I go there to buy energy drinks like Bang and I like the taste of Ghost protein powder that only GNC sells. The rest of their supplements are a total ripoff!!! They are counting on people being stupid and not knowing you can get the same shit for half the cost online. Either that or they are marketing to rich people who dont give a shit about paying exorbitant prices for supplementsComment

i walked into one at the mall a few weeks back because the wife was shopping and i needed some nutrition and didn't want to go to the shyt show that is cafe square so i walked in and bought a macadamia nut butter F Bomb, two actually, one for then and one for later on. so over priced. i paid like $8 and i had an order shipping from Amazon for a case of 10 for $20. Dude was like do you have our savings card, would you like to sign up for one? No and no, just these thanks. no one else was in there and the absolute bullshit on the shelves and what they were asking was insane.You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

GNC is the king of sleazy upselling. You cant buy anything there without the salesman trying to talk you in to buying a discount card. Discount cards are stupid. Paying money to save money is a con job. I . I bought a discount card one time just to shut the person up, then when I went back, they tried to upsell me to a premium card or some kind of crap. I’ve wondered this too! Sometimes I go into the gnc just to mess with the employees...they try to act like they know it all...easy to make them pucker! My lady always grabs me and pulls me out! “That’s enough hunni leave them a lone”! Lol

Well I walked into one this weekend and it was.... nothing spectacular lol. Looks like they are heavy on the "all natural ageless male" type stuff. Maybe that keeps them going. There was also an older couple in there picking the brains out of the guy behind the counter. Figure that's probably a big part of their business too. I still love walking through GNC and Vit Shopp. Last time I told the guy I am just looking. He said we don't get a lot of window shoppers. I had to explain to him I know what I am looking at.
True story 15 years ago I was going to buy a GNC but I wanted to "try it out" so I became the only employee while I was working on the loan. I lived in the back on a couch. Just me, a tv and a VCR, lmao. It is sooo funny the shit you run into there like the guys buying gel caps to cap their own "vitamins" or the guys buying creatine to cut coke with.
