I am going to use plant base protein powder for a while. Just wondering the pros and cons of using soy protein.

Re: soy protein
I'll need to go back and research it a bit, but always heard that soy protein wasn't the best when it comes to estrogen management. From what I remember, soy contains isoflavones which are phytoestrogens. Basically plant estrogens. Supposedly consuming a lot of it could potentially raise the estrogen levels in guys.

Re: soy protein
i personally wouldnt touch the stuff. go with a pea or other vege source over soy. i have never heard anything good about soy. hell if you want an easy to digest protein you could opt for egg whit or egg white protein powderTGBSupplements REP

Re: soy protein
Soy isolate is OK from what I remember, it has the phyto estrogens removed and isjust protein although it lacks sufficient amounts of some aminos, again if I remember correctly.
Why plant based? Whey is the gold standard of protein for a reason.
pea protein and hemp protein are supposed to be good but you have to take a lot more of it to get the same benefits as whey.
If I did a plant based protein I would look for one that is blended with many kinds of proteins to fill in holes as I do not know of one that is 100% complete like whey or egg.
