thx for all the opinions and the little drama in the middle there...champ your one big Mofo.[not my goals personally but good work anyways]
The next question regardiong flaxoil then is this... I noticed someone saying it helps skin elasticity which is a concern of mine.....is this just an opinion or is this a fact...if it is a fact I would love to know what about this omega 3 that assists in skin elastisity.....need to get the skin about 1" tighter around the waist to look like a GOD any help would be great!EVERYTHING I SAY IS ONLY AN OPINION.

Scorpion, I apologize for interrupting your thread. As for certain fats and the possibility of tightening the skin?? In all honesty, plenty of good fats in the diet will help to keep the skin healthy, however, I haven't heard much of a significant effect on tightening. Thiomucase will help to remove some water from the skin and perhaps fat cell. Will you see a difference?? Depends on the degree of tightening you're looking for. On the other hand, Gh use does have a noticable effect on the proteins of the skin (Collagen and Elastin) if you're of resonable Bodyfat.
Intensity.... Thanks. I enjoy this board and will be sticking around.

True, good fats do keep the skin very healthy but for it to be tighten you have to not only remove some excess water but your bf level has to be down a certain percentage,I would say you skin starts tighten up at below 10% BF,I started to notice my skin tighten around 9% and it really got tight around 6-7%.

For The Champ:
That's awesome you were trained by Michalik! I remember he's competed with the pro's from the 70's to the 80's. Did he train you with the 40-50 set per bodypart system, like he did John DeFendis? You probably know DeFendis, too. I read John's training system several years ago, I believe he called it, "Intensity or Insanity" Training. Good luck at the Nationals!

I worked out with some competive BBrs that add fats to their cutting diets with flax oil and natty PB, and others that dont. I personally feel that when dropping carbs, especially to 100 and below, that adding unsat fats such as natty PB help preserve muscle. I have felt that without them, at least 75g fat, I lose muscle.

Hey Muraco,
So you remember Steve......... Yeah, we trained the same way, many, many sets as heavy as possible and when it got too heavy to move we'd strip it and keep going. Some of our workouts lasted 3 hours (1 bodypart!). Bodybuilding was great back then, today gyms are fancy with pretty grls all over......... I was just 14 when Johnny D last trained regularly with Steve.......They were very intense, it was an awesome gym! I do know John and see him occasionally, he looks thick and is thinking about training for the Masters O.
Ya gotta love Muraco.............. Do you remember the Snuka/ Muraco battles? Lotsa blood.

Shear Madness,
As you may know, there are many approaches to contest prep. Through the years I've tried lots of them including low an zero carb dieting. Although I've gotten lean with this approach I seemed to lose some hard earned muscle. So my next plan would be to include fats in the program. After some research and advice from others I chose egg yolks for their fat content. Yolks are loaded with lecithin ( an emulsifier because of it's high Choline/inositol concentration) and I supplemented with borage oil for the GLA content. If you want to know why I chose this look up some info on enzymes (delta6 desaturase). The Ala content of Flax makes it un desierable to me. Anyway, I did ok with this plan, but wasn't nearly as full or striated as I can be. Next I tried dieting with varying amounts of carbs and through MUCH trial and error discovered the ones that work best for me and leave me full, shredded and very thin skined. I actually get much tighter with carbs, the skin just creates a tight wrap around the muscle. Sorry I can't really go into more detail but this thing will go on forever. If you want just pm me and I'd be glad to talk about it.

Regardless of what science says about the ratio of fats in ones diet. I have found (like Champ has mentioned) that an intake of low fat can do the trick to lose bodyfat.Wannabebig Content Editor
