Drinking enough water is vital to health and good bodily functioning. However, some research suggests that the temperature of water when a person drinks it is also important. Here, we discuss whether cold water can be bad for health and if there are any risks or benefits of drinking cold water vs. warm water.

in both cold and hot weather training in the military they taught us that room temp water is best for rehydration or just hydration in general. since your body is already working hard to cool down or warm up. it will piss out most of cold water that you take in because it doesnt want to warm it up and use more energy to do so. is their any truth to that? idk but that's what i have done ever since
Anything with "Ayurvedic" I discount as bunk. So drink your cold water and be happy with no "side effects" Other than improved performance during workouts.

Lordy! Holy crap. Death by ice water. I guess it could be such a shock to your system. Cold water seems to work better for me than room temp, but maybe its all mental. When I was in the hospital in 2008 dying of organ failure, I would get thirsty as hell & cold water was excruciating painful. I would still sneak a drink when nobody was looking. The second that cold H2O hit my stomach, I was rolling on the floor writhing in pain
I always drink room temperature water. My wife prefers cold water and we're always bickering back and forth when we buy water bottles lol. She wants to put them in the fridge and I want to leave them out in the pantry.
Drinki8ng cold water is safer than driving your car to the grocery store. The chances of it actually doing something to you is so minuscule that is does not compute. People drink cold water BILLIONS of times ED with nary a problem.
Again, this is driven by "Ayurvedic practitioners" who make faith healers look reasonable.
