Re: Gyms and COVID-19
i havent missed a session during this nightmare since a friend of mine owns his own facility. we arent required to wear a mask at the main facilities i go to but the base facilities require one while you come in and when you are done with your set. all the gyms are during daily or weekly sanitization on the facilities and base does them every single day. i am like you, i wipe down all the equipment before and after i use it and use sanitizer religiously. i also try to maintain distance between anyone i am talking to even close friends of mine. we had a huge uptick in cases in our county, so you really never know, esp my buddies that are still on active duty.
funny thing about the whole situation with the military is, they went back to normal ops and the cases shot through the roof. they didnt blame it on packing mother fuckers in on top of each other but on guys not being responsible. on the other hand they put them on lock down for exposure and the fools have video game parties and go out into town even though they arent supposed to. an old training partner of mine is a unit commander and since they test on monday and tuesday and get results on saturday and sunday he gets the notifications in the gym. i was standing there talking to him he got 7 positives in under 10 minutes and by 20 mins before i left he had 10 more. all for a marine corps birthday manditory unit function.
so even the military is stupidTGBSupplements REP

Re: Gyms and COVID-19
Thankfully my gym is open so I'm able to train. No masks required either, which is good for me when I'm lifting heavy. I always clean before and after using everything and try to be as safe as I can. Seems like everyone for the most part cleans and tries to be safe, at least at my gym. There are still the random dumbasses here and there that don't give a damn. I know several areas throughout the country are locked back down, so I'm thankful I can still workout. My area shut down for about a month back at the beginning of summer and it sucked.

Re: Gyms and COVID-19
I went to the gym last night and now they are starting something new. You have to put your name on a waiting list and go sit in your car and wait for them to call you. It was an hour wait last night. They said they are limited to only 27 people at a time. This is in a huge gym, must be 40,000 square feet gym. I looked in and it looked fucking empty and I said "I have to wait for an hour to workout? There is hardly anybody here!" He said ' I know, sorry man, its what we have to do"...ridiculous. People have to go and wait in their car to workout in a gym that is damn near empty. You almost have the whole gym to yourself, while other people are outside in the cold waiting for their turn. .

Re: Gyms and COVID-19
Here are most risky places for catching Covid 19. Gyms are a 8 out 9. Just be careful, I go the dead times of days. I take care of elderly people, so I have to be very careful. And yes bencing 450 and deadlifting 500 for reps is ***** wearing a mask is *****!!!
Moderate-High Risk: 7
Going to a hair salon or barbershop
Eating in a restaurant (inside)
Attending a wedding or funeral
Traveling by plane
Playing basketball
Playing football
Hugging or shaking hands when greeting a friend
High Risk: 8
Eating at a buffet
Working out at a gym
Going to an amusement park
Going to a movie theater
High Risk: 9
Attending a large music concert
Going to a sports stadium
Attending a religious service with 500-plus worshipers
Going to a bar

Re: Gyms and COVID-19
The gym , we go to, requires a mask at all times. They are getting a bit lax though, and I am glad. We are also in a blue state so a lrge percent are following. Fuzo, well he still isnt masking but they leave him be most of the time. I told him to just tell them " It's cool, I already had Covid" lol. Working out with masks is a big adjustment and I do sweat a whole lot moreVeritas Vos Liberabit

Re: Gyms and COVID-19
Our socialist democrat governor has been bragging how he and his husband wear masks all the time. Well, last week both of them came down with covid. So if youre always masked and still caught it wtf? Masking doesnt work. All it does is fuck people up psychologically, especially children
