  • Using cables for chest

Tried something a it different for my chest tonight. I picked a light weight (40) for each arm for cable crossovers. Instead of finishing my workout with them, I started with 4 sets of 50 reps before finishing with dumbbell bench presses.
My chest was so pumped. Anyone else tried anything similar to this method?

I love cables for pecs. You can go heavy too and it works great.

get pre exhaust for the boobs man. nothing wrong with that at all and it will also serve to warm up the shoulders and stuff for the heavier movements to come later

Yeah it was nice to change it up a bit. The pre exhaust felt good

I like doing stuff like that every once in awhile. I'll completely reverse my workout occasionally just to throw things off. Legs for example, I'll start with leg extensions and leg curls then move to lunges, leg presses and then squats last. Those sets of squats are always brutal at the end like that. Super lightweight but feels so heavy.
