TweetThat's awesome! Thanks for sharing. I think we all get so wound up in our lives that we forget to reflect back to good memories.
TweetThis past year has been a year of reflecting all the way back, for me.
When I was a kid, I spent weeks "up North", picking and selling corn, making jam with my aunt, fishing and hunting with my Aunt, Uncle and brother, hangin in the farmhouse, snowmobiling in the winter, and more. Barn cats everywhere, old trucks just sitting in the field like monuments, lol.
Yes, I baited the hooks, yes I cleaned the fish, yes I carried the squirrels that my brother shot, lol.
One funny memories I have is my brother, Uncle and I were in the woods. My brother up in a tree, and getting pissed off at me cause I was talking to much. My Uncle and I walking and he spots a target, he decides to run and trips over the wired fence he forgot was there, lmao...I laughed so hard and again got told to be quiet again.
Very Fond memories there for me, and believe it or not ,I haven't been up by them in over 25 years. My Mom just told me myy Uncle is not doing well, and even though my aunt is completely hunched over, they are some tough cheese heads. I have to drag fuzo up there and he has no desire to go.
tell me a great childhood memory you have...

Tweetwhen I was a kid we lived a bit from the city. Not far enough to really be considered from the country but rural non the less. It was about a 20 minute drive to our cities largest mall (which is by no means a huge mall) and my mom would take me. For some reason that mall was a magical place. This was back when you could still smoke in the mall (we are in the late 80's) and there was no Starbucks or Barnes and Noble. There were stores that sold the latest CD's and weird little places that were independent or smaller chains, before everything became so commercialized. There was a cool shop my mom liked that sold candles and they had a big display of pewter dragons and wizards. I remember going there with my mom and just the size of the place and all the department stores, when Daytons (out of buisness) or JC penny would have their Christmas displays up. The mall has changed a lot but every now and then I get the same neat feeling I used to when I was a kid.

TweetWhen i was 5 i was playing freeze tag and it was in a old milking parlour. I climbed this gate to hang on a pipe so they could not reach me. I slipped and a got hung on a rope that was there. 7foot off the ground for 4 minutes. Somehow got my self out of it. Parents took me to hospital they said i may not be able to talk they said i should been dead. I falk fine now. Lol have never had issues. It was a memorable kid memory.
