Ordered an LED headlight kit for my ford truck. He said the stock yellow headlights were about 1300 lumen...these new white lights are 4,000 lumen. Was wondering if some more lights added on would help for night driving in the mountains...Anybody have experience with this?

Re: Lights for trucks
I've been thinking about getting some brighter headlights for my truck. I know mine have to suck because there are so many times someone pulls up next to me on the road and their headlights completely overtake mine and I can see so much better. I don't realize how crappy mine are until that happens lol.

Re: Lights for trucks
oh yeah. those LED kits are BRIGHT! you will get people flashing their brights at you thinking you have your high beams on in regular driving. i have not but my brother has been pulled over 2X with no tickets. cop thought he was driving with high beams as well. they are ferociously bright and will help see.
I also have 2 35w LEd spots and a flood on front. when i turn them on it become day time in front of my jeep.
you will like them

Re: Lights for trucks
back when I had my lifted f-150 I used to get flashed and all I had was stock halogens.. ppl can suck it imo cuz if my brights arnt on and you flash me your getting it right back with my brights on lol. What would piss me off the most is the fact that they were stock crappy halogens that were not bright at all, my truck being lifted just made my light go directly into cars windshield but if you had a SUV or truck it wouldn't effect them.. as long as ppl know it's not your brights you'll be good, so if they flash you just simply flash them back with your brights quickly so they know your not intentionaly trying to blind them.

Re: Lights for trucks
Ok, I put in a Putco superlux LED kit. Wow. Am so glad I did. So much better night vision than those stock headlights. Its a nice white light instead of the yellow.
Now I want to put some more LED lights in the bumper. Cant have too much light when youre flying across the desert at midinght lol
