Fat or lipids, carbs, and protein have carbon in them. Protein is the only one with nitrogen.
How would someone have better nitrogen retention?

eating smaller more frequent doses of protein throughout the day is the most pref way to remain in a positive nitrogen balance

yes, casine and beef are very slow releasing protein which keeps you in a positive nitro balance for longer. it is still good to have a little over lap though. fish whey and egg whites process through super fast

Ah yea, Ive been meaning to buy some beef protein for that reason. Casein is just so thick i dont like drinking it. I usually wake up around 3-4am so sometimes ill drink 60G pro and go back to sleep.

something that i have noticed and this isnt science but more of an observation on how my digestive system works. protein with lower and lighter fat content digests much much faster resulting in being hungry faster. so whole eggs and red meat i feel full longer. something i have also figured out is adding in some external fat to a meal it helps

If you prefer to stick with whey, pair it up with a good fat. Avocado, nuts, nut butter etc. the good fat missed with it will help slow the digestion of the whey protein

At least I been getting a good combo for breakfast then. I usually have a whole egg, egg whites, and some kinda red meat (small cheap steak, small burger, pork chop) and oats with a piece of fruit, small glass of juice or skim milk. That would be pretty much all the digesting speeds then lol.
