TweetI agree with Fuzo in the sense that we can not change the govt. The govt has so much power, it's not funny. Just look at the JFK assasination. The CIA will make someone disappear and never exist. I know we all like to think we can change things. And in a sense, we can by voting. But impeachment is one of the most overrated terms in govt. People have been saying to impeach Bush for years. Well, why isn't it done? If we, the people, have so much power that the govt should fear us, why are we still at the mercy of the govt? No one is charged with war crimes. And those in the govt who do bad, are generally pardoned. And DJ, it's your right to believe what you want. I have no beef with that. But I firmly believe that we the people hold no power to do anything to our govt. If we could, many things would have been done by now.

Because of our wonderful economy that makes it quite hard! I called it last year that the country was heading in this direction financially. Most of you guys again chalked my warnings off as mere ramblings of a conspiracy theorist. Looks like It wasn't ramblings after all!

I'm not going to bend over like a biitch and let some scumbags try to take over our country and mold it into something it's not.

your still rambling...i predict that it's even gonna get worse before it gets better!!...how much you want to believe in a yr i'll be right. easy predictions do not a prophet make. just becouse i predict you'll use over 20$ in gas this month dosnt mean i'm a prophet....dont hurt your arm patting yourself on the back for the one sunshine

I called the gas thing and everyone said I was nuts! I said when prices were barely above $2 a gallon 8 or 9 months ago, and OPEC said it was cutting production, I made a big deal about it. I said that means prices are going to soar to much much higher prices if people don't make it known their pissed! Everyone shrugged it off, because they were to busy living in the now, rather than thinking of the future!

I also said that gas prices are going to put our economy in shambles. Well that too has happened. They try to blame it on just the housing market, but in reality it has much more to do with the oil prices sky rocketing. Everything has gone up in price due to the oil price gouging (I don't say oil crisis because it's not a crisis if there is plenty of oil but they're purposefully creating demand to force high prices!)! The cost of food, any service now charges gas surcharges, heating & cooling, electricity, even electronics and toys since the drivers charge more to them. Everything has gone up because of gas prices!

So when you add it all up....the extra money a week for gas, for food, for presents for special occasions, for little family outings, for electric etc... Your already starting to feel quite a crunch in your wallet. Then add on the ridiculous mortgage costs and you have yourself an economic nightmare!

Your right though I won't pat myself on the back for yet again being right on the money!.....Literally!!

I currently own a small construction company that I started at the age of 23. I've been in business a little over 4 years now. In 2006 I incorporated my company and started a franchise up north. I plan on having multiple franchises across the country (If our economy ever fixes itself!)

I'm also getting my real estate license within the month just for the ability to not pay commissions on any investment properties I plan on buying. It will also be nice to supplement my income a tad when business gets slow. That will be more of a hobby than anything.

Lastly I'm going back to school next year to become a lawyer. I've always wanted to be one, and everyone I know thinks I'd make an excellent lawyer. I think I'm going to go for corporate law so I can take major corporations down a peg one scumbag company at a time!

Of course I plan on being an advocate for the public to help those that are taken advantage of by the corporations of the world!

Oddly it seems that lawyers always end up in high levels of government. Guess it's time to start the climb.....

My cousin is a corporate attorney in Miami. UF graduate. I think corporate law would be excellent for you to get into. You could sink your teeth right in and show those guys a thing or 2. You'll also get first hand up close and personal with different government divisions so you can throw down. I think that will be great!

As for the economy your joking right? There's not one company I know or work with that isn't feeling the bite from the economy slump! The real estate market is hurting, the auto market, retailers are hurting, construction industry is really hurting, I can go on and on and on. Read the paper and you'll see all of the reports. Not to good!

Just because people aren't buyin and selling the same day making $50k like 5 years ago coesn't mean the market is horrible. And in that raging time, everybody and anybody tapped into the construction industry. Now that it has slowed, only thing strong are surviving. My father in law can feel it. He still just builds for people, 3000/7500sq ft houses. 5 years ago he had 15-20 going up at once. Right this week he's building 8 homes. A couldn't get back into buyilding pool cages and fences to keep food on the table right now, but my cousin that's been stuccoing for 2 of the heavy hitter construction companies in town for 10 years is bustin ass to keep up. It depends on who you talk to. Ask my cousin or a friend of mine with a flooring business and you wouldn't think it's slowed a damn bit. As for the economy. I just got off the phone with my dad and he said the stock market is kickin ass and we have had a great last couple weeks. Economy is very strong on Wall St. It really just depends on the choices you make and who you ask. By the numbers, the economy is solid. If somebody has made some piss poor choices or don't know what the hell they're doing somewhere right now, they are gonna have a hard time. We're going through a purging phase more than anything right now. A much needed purging phase. But yeah, we could use a break on the gas prices. Times change and we adapt. We need to adapt by tapping into our natural resources like there's no tomorrow. And, the only reason houses aren't selling like they should is because of the media. And that is a fact. There is no reason to not buy. It's a buyers market!
