sorry johnny, i still dont believe if they are chritian that they should, or for that matter even, do vote with there religious beliefs. i dont believe you, or any other person i know, follows even there beliefs day to day..let alone polititians. never compromising, never waver...stop. no-way. compairing a gay rep. with a chritian rep is a stretch too i believe. and i do believe you can build your charector seperate from your beliefs. i have chritian friends. two couples witch are good friends of mine and my wifes. both holding the same values both agreeing with eachothers point of views. one, very successful buisness owner, very strong willed, very hard lined. the other couple, chritian rock band. beliefs the same, charector very diff.

and again i didn't say u should only express your religion in church, but it should only be in situations where the religion is the topic, discussion or debate. i don't think you should be expressing yourself for the purpose of letting other people know your religion. and i'm not understanding exactly what your intent is with the hypocrite comment, i don't see how that pertains to our conversation unless you are assuming that about me.
I'm saying if you are not being who you are you are putting an other face, that's what hypocrite means and I wasn't calling you one. What I was saying is you want people to become one by not being who they are.

So it's only okay when it's being discussed, what if the people that brought it up is from a religion? Or is it only when you bring it up or a friend, do you hear what you're saying. In one breath it never okay outside a religious situation, then in the next it's okay if someone that's not religious talks about it or what ever you're trying to say.

Basically it boils down to when you think it's right, but it's not okay for them to exercise their freedom guaranteed in the Constitution. If you don't like what's being said walk away, it's our right not to listen. Now if they're going to chase you down the street yelling at you they are wrong.

People push their views on us all day long, watch TV, it's being done on every program and commercials. your boss pushs his/her view of how it should be done and you can choose to stay there or quit.

What does a rock band and a business owner have to do with character? Are you say what you do for employment determines your character? If it is you don't understand what character is and that's why we can't agree.

      Character from https://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=character

      1. The combination of qualities or features that distinguishes one person, group, or thing from another. See Synonyms at disposition.
      2. A distinguishing feature or attribute, as of an individual, group, or category. See Synonyms at quality.
      3. Genetics. A structure, function, or attribute determined by a gene or group of genes.
      4. Moral or ethical strength.
      5. A description of a person's attributes, traits, or abilities.

Are character is how people determine who we are, it doesn't determine what our employment will be, that would be stereotyping.

religion is not a huge part of me like it is for you are others. so expressing myself and being myself isn't expressing my religion. i keep it more personal for a couple of reasons. and looking at it in your shoes i see what you mean about not being yourself, wasn't grasping that at first cause its not a big part of me.

also i want to say when i say expressing your religion i'm refering to when someone expects or wants someone to take on the same way of thinking. not just saying hey this is my belief. maybe i shouldn't use the word expressing. your right we can walk away, turn the channel, quit the job or whatever. but when the government is trying to govern people of all different backgrounds, religions etc... i don't think the government should look like its backing any religion. i think it should be taken out of the equation completely.
