the body will ADAPT TO ANY REGIMENT THAT IS CONSISTENT

and then it comes down to cals in and cals out

you can't eat pizza every night as much as you want in that four hours

if you eat clean foods, which i'm sure iron iddict does, it probably works fine

the problems arise for most dieter or life changes on friday, saturday and sunday

with this one, the body will adapt, and you get your insulin levels under control over time and thus you don't have hunger pangs, or cravings, yet the same thing happens whenever a person eats clean

imho life style change you should strive for is les and less and less processed foods, that is the insulin killer

I know they are mice, but many many things that we use every day are tested on mice. Well, I was only eating 2200 on my 6 meal a day diet and that was where I was slowly losing. That's just a little over 300 per meal.

IA has written me a diet and nutrition plan in the past. He is now advocating this for his clients as well. IA has actually been on the diet himself and says that he has never been this lean with this much energy before.

This diet has been around for like 7 or 8 years now. You still have to eat healthy on this diet. I mean you can't just binge at night on whatever you want. I am currently reading the book and so far it all makes sense. I mean, if it is good enough for IA, then surely it is good enough for me. I mainly started reading about it for my wife because at her job she doesn't have the luxury of being able to eat...she doesn't even get to eat lunch most days and this would work out perfectly for her.

I'm not advocating the diet because I have not tried it for myself. I posted this so you guys could check it out. I won't say that it won't work and is stupid either because there are so many people that are doing it and are having amazing results.

There are a ton of people that have tried. The number "25" is the amount of "clients" that IA has currently on the diet. That doesn't include non-clients that have tried it.

Why would IA have to push it? He didn't invent the diet and gets no kind of reimbursement from the diet.

I can get what you are saying. I have been doing what you are saying. But isn't this whole process about figuring out what works for you? How can you know what works for you without trying it? I have been eating much cleaner than I ever have since October of last year (actually since last June when I went to the beach and got married...but I didn't hit the gym until October) and I have seen some changes and I have hit a plateau. I eat all the protein I am supposed to, I eat 6 meals a day, I drink 1.5-2 gallons of water per day, I workout hard, etc....and I stay at 178 which has me at too much BF%.

Also, IA's board was the last place I heard about the diet.

Anyway, I was not trying to argue about the thing. I was just posting it for everyone to check out.

i think the diet is an interesting concept. I have also read other journal articles that talk about how you do not need to split up meals into a bunch of small ones. I think if someone wants to try this they should. SHit this might be the greatest thing ever and we are all missing out. Then again as fuzo says this may be a big marketing scam and we would get taken. I do think that if your only eating 4 hours out of they day it would be hard to get a reasonable amount of protein down and for your body to make use of it.

I am soley going by what's in the book here, so take it for what it's worth. You are allowed to eat fruits and veggies during the day in moderation. You are also allowed to drink whey shakes during the day as well. So, getting all your protein shouldn't be a huge deal. I could see bigger guys running into issues having to have more food and more protein but from what I have read on the message boards, they are just extending their over-eating window greater than 4 hours. I may give it a whirl for a few weeks just to see. It can't hurt I don't think. I mean you still get all your nutrients and vitamins, etc...In the book it talks about how the body gets more efficient at utilizing the protein on this diet. I mean the book was only 18.00. Hell, I wasted 20 on the Jack3d supplement.

And Fuzo may be correct about it being scam. We will see.

hmm sounds pretty interested and if nothing more a good read. Maybe i will pick one up and give it a going threw. If you want do a little research on the velocity diet. It's a scam in the fact that they try and get you to use all there stuff but if you buy your own things you can do it pretty cheap and let me tell you it works. Worth a read atleast.

I've payed for Iron Addicts services before. He actually trained me for almost two years. Best gains I've ever made. I would recommend him to anyone and if he said something I would do it. No questions asked. That's how much faith I have in him. I can't say that about anyone else...in regards to training persay.

Doesn't sound logical to me or at least it isn't even close to the "stereotypical" diets that I have done. Interested to see how it goes if you try it out bro...definately start a log on here with updates

Once I get the meals pretty close to what they are supposed to be, I will start a log. It will take me a little bit to get that figured out.

Well, I started it Wed night. Like I said earlier, it will take me a few days to get my over feed meal straight. But, I will make a small update. I was worried about not having energy during the day and for my workout....I was pleasantly surprised! I have had quite a bit of energy during the day and actually had the best arm workout last night that I have ever had! Yesterday I added some cucumbers and carrots that I ate at lunch and midafternoon. I haven't had any hunger pains but I am sure that is dependant on the person. My macros yesterday looked like this:

      Cals Fat Carb Prot
      1,655 50.3 89.6 199.3

My calories are a little higher than these totals because I didn't add the salad dressing and steak sauce that I used and some cheese that was on the salad. My calories aren't as high as they were when I was eating 6 times a day (I don't know if this will change once I get used to the meal at night or not), but I am stuffed when I get done eating at night and couldn't eat anymore if I tried right now. I may start eating more fruits, etc...during the day just to bump the calories up a little, but that all falls in with getting my macros lined out. It says in the book that you don't need to count calories, but I just wanted to keep an eye on them to see where I am.

I am going to buy some BCAAs and EAAs this weekend and may pick up some EFAs too. Right now I am taking a mutli, L-Carnitine, and a joint supplement.
