Tweetnice man im interested in reading this and seeing yoru results. IM just needing a change right now. My eating has been so poor just do to the fact that im so tired of eating all the time.
TweetWell, I feel a little "tighter" and I look a little better in the mirror. By the scale I have lost 1.4lbs. That could be water though, but shouldn't be much water because I think I would have already lost that water weight with my previous eating. I don't put a lot of trust in the scale though. We will see, like you said, it's only been 2 full days on it so far.

TweetWell, Saturday I weighed in at 175lbs down from 178. I had a "cheat day" yesterday...lol. It is easy for me to go all day without eating much. I just grab some fruit and drink a shake or two and I'm cool. I still need to get my main meal ironed out. We haven't had the best choice of foods at home but we haven't been to the grocery store yet either. I am still not able to eat over 2000 calories during the main meal with throwing a little dirty stuff in there. I get all of my protein and my fat is low, so it is going okay so far. I am probably just going to use it to get down to my goal and then go back to eating like I want just cleaner.

TweetI really like this diet and it seems that it works very well, but I am starting to wonder how much my schedule is going to interfere with it. So far, I have worked OT twice this week which put me late getting home and I didn't get to cook and eat like I was supposed to. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but since this is my only real meal during the day, it is an issue. I am also afraid this will also become an issue when I start to play golf more in the evenings because that will put me at the gym and on the course for the majority of the evenings and night and will be tough to get that food in before bed.
With all that being said, I may end up going back to the smaller meals during the day, etc....so when these instances occur, I'm not missing my calories. I haven't decided yet.

Tweetyou could always cook your food all at once for the whole week. Thats what i do i cook up aroun 4 pounds of steak and that last me for the week for meat and then i have my shakes and other stuff that doesn't take long to prepare.
TweetYeah, that's what will have to happen. That's what I was doing with my other plan. The problem with this one is for instance, I got home the other night at like 10pm. I usually go to bed around 9:30. So by the time I get home and get settled in so that I can eat, it just gets inconvenient to have to eat that much, let it settle a bit and be in bed and get enough rest to work the next day. It's the inconvenience part that will kill me quicker than anything on a diet. If it becomes a hassle, then I won't do it. But we will see.

TweetWhat cut of steak do you use? I am going to keep on with it the best I can as I have not given it much of a chance yet. I like the concept though. I will be heading to the grocery store this weekend to get me a stock of food at home. SO far, I have just been eating up the stuff that I had at home.

Tweeti eat beef tenderloin. It really not that expensive it you do what i do. I buy a whole loin. It's usually about 7-8 pounds. Runs about 7 bucks a pound so it's a good bit of money all at once but that much steak will last me 2 weeks. I take it home cut it in half and then you can seal the other half up and put it back in the ridge or freezer(personally i don't like freezing my meat as it ruins the quality) then cut the other half up into nice steaks and grill. It's amazing and will melt in your mouth.
TweetOkay, after doing some more research today, I have found that I will be doing it a bit different than that author describes. So, after hitting the store this weekend, my daily play will be something along these lines:
3 small meals during the undereating phase consisting of berries or veggies and 1/2 casein. I will add a 4th smaller meal on training days.
My main meal will be something like a huge salad to start with, 8-12oz steak (or other protein), protein powder, a few cups of rice, and then judging by my calorie intake I will add flax oil and maybe some bread or something.
For supplements, I will be using EAAs, BCAAs, glutamine, fish oil, and maybe some EFAs. So, this should get the kinks worked out with my meals. I found out today that they were cutting out OTfor a while, so I don't have to worry about that conflict....that's what spurred me to do a little more reading.

Tweetonce in awhile I fast for 24 hours...thats it then I'm starving and eat like a pig for days! I don't see how that diet could be sustainable...
TweetI don't know what you consider a "fast" but this is not the same. I mean you get your 3-4 small meals consisting of fruits, veggies, and easily digested proteins like yogurt, whey, etc...Then you have you main meal at night. It is easily sustainable IF you can get through the undereating phase (the hardest part) and you use common sense with your main meal.
On a side note, I have noticed that when I am in bed, I sweat like crazy now and it almost seems like you can feel the bodyheat I am producing. Good signs that the main meal kicks the metabolism into overdrive!
