Dave Bautista survives his first MMA fight
PROVIDENCE – It’s two minutes before 11 p.m. and Dave Bausita looks mean – all 6-foot-6, 265 pounds of him.
Tattoos cover his arms and back as he screams on the way to the cage to make his MMA debut. The 43-year-old is know from his days in the WWE, but tonight the blows would be “real.” Standing across the cage from Bautista was the 300 pound Vince Lucero (20-22).
The night, CESMMA’s Real Pain, was sponsored by the next movie Bautista is in, apply titled “The Man With The Iron Fists”. And as we would have it, Bautista stopped Lucero with his gigantic fists, to earn his first MMA win.

Lucero attacked from the start of the bell, hitting Bautista with multiple shots before pressing him up against the cage. Bautista looked buckled, at first. The separate and both fighters traded blows. Lucero pressed Bautista up against the cage, but Bautista reversed the position. The separated and threw some sloppy punches before clinching again.
Lucero started waving to the crowd and got cocky. The fighters separated and Bautista shot in and took his opponent to the ground. Lucero gave up his back and Bautista delivered a couple blows. Lucero laid flat on his back as Bautista punched away and the referee stopped the fight at 4:05 in the opening round…
