Who here trains in any martial arts?

I trained in Isshyn Ryu for a few years as a kid. Then I did a little Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Now I've been into Muay Thai for a year and really love it. I personally think Muay Thai is the most effective of the arts I've learned, although the others definitely are good to know.

So what do you / have you trained in and which is your favorite?

My background is in various karate, mostly kenpo, but my training has been mostly modified to real world application. The past five year I have trained in a specialized discipline of 5 different martial arts. The application is again hands on and not about the "art" and has to do with mostly real world application of the discipline in the fields of security bodyguarding LE military and your basic life encounter in the street. It's referred to as Savage-Te.

i started with American karate when i was a kid and didnt learn much useful. i started BJJ about 6-7 years ago. got my blue belt a few years back and am stuck. but my coach is old school i have not put in the time like i should, i just like rolling.

back in late 09 my son and I started training Muay Thai with an incredible Khru. been doing it ever since. i am no fighter and have no plans to try to fight but i do love the sport.

I've been practicing Shao-lin Kempo for six years im a third degree brown belt as of march. I like it alot because it lets me express myself and lets ya know where you're really at phyisically and mentally. Knowing that you can easilly f*ck someone up is a big bonus too !
