        Well lets see how well he does now against someone like silva when he moves up now.

              IMO, the fight will never happen anyway. Silva is, what, 35 now? And GSP keeps talking about, if he moves up, he will do it the right way and gain the weight slowly, etc....if this takes more than a year, then Silva will be retired, I think.

              My prediction...if GSP and Anderson don't fight next year, it won't happen.

                Lets see how he does against someone like Silva? There is no one like Silva except for Silva. That really makes no sense. Lets see how he does against someone like Bisbing first before he jumps basically 2 weight classes to fight arguably the best fighter ever. He could get dismantled by Silva and it would mean nothing. BJ moved up and got destroyed by GSP yet many people still think he could be the best P4P guy. To even make it a resonably fair fight it would absolutely have to be at a catch weight of like 177-180 or something. I actually think that could be a good fight. I would bet GSP would be stronger than Silva at that weight and could def take him down and grind out a win. I dont know that he could win standing with him the whole fight but he sure as heck wouldnt look like slow mo Griffen. Plus I think GSP has MUCH better cardio than Silva, but Silva has more KO power for sure.

                    me too, but he needs to fight some guys at 185 first IMO just to get used to the size difference and maybe adjust his game plan.

                      It's not a matter of if or catch weight...GSP will move to 185 because he says it is getting too hard for him to cut to 170.

                      If GSP moves to 185, he will fight Anderson first thing (assuming Anderson is still there). There is NO WAY the UFC would chance losing that super fight at the hands of a Bisping or someone. If GSP was to fight another MW and lose, the super fight with Anderson would be done and they would lose that money.

                          I dont think dana would throw gsp right after a title shot,no way. He needs atleast a couple fights first.Theres others in line first to fight anderson

                              I too would be surprised If his first fight was against Silva. BJ had already fought in the WW before though and Silva is fighting some in the LHW division so it seems like a larger jump to me. Anyway, i was kind of joking about Bisping, i think GSP would maul him. Also, i think GSP vs Silva at 185 would be a good fight.
