There is a difference man. Okay, so if only knows BJJ, he is a mixed martial artist? If a guy only knows, karate he is a mixed martial artist?

A guy is a mixed martial artist, if he trains in multiple disciplines like you said. Why do you think they have BJJ schools and then they have MMA schools? NOt everyone that knows a martial art is a mixed martial artist.

I guess Kimbo looked more fluid on his feet? Houston screwed the fight up by running around, that was stupid. He should have just walked in and swung for the fences like usual. Kimbo got Houston on the ground but was fairly clueless as what to do next with the exception of a few elbows. However, the unorthodox body slams will prob not work against guys 30-50lbs heavier. Overall not sure cause he fought someone lighter but at least he tried to take someone down. I guess thats improvement? I def thought Houston would win though so I will be interested to see what Kimbo does next. I wonder if he actually has something wrong with his knee, as in something that could be surgically fixed? Maybe he should look into that. A HW with good leg kicks could finish him right away if Houstons wimpy kicks were really bothering him that much. Could spell trouble.

MMA experience and BJJ experience are two different things man....see, that response right there tells me that you don't the difference between the two and therefore don't know as much about MMA as you think you do.

MMA...aka...Mixed martial arts...fighting. I have never been or trained for MMA fighting specifically.

I have on the other trained in BJJ, boxing, and Muay Thai over the past years. There is a difference.

And obviously I (being 180lbs 5'8" and doesn't train for MMA) couldn't have gotten Houston in that spot. But IF i would have been in the exact same position as Kimbo when he had back mount, and his arm was already around his neck ,yes I could have gotten the choke....that is how easy it should have been.

Oh so your saying mr no expereince mma could of got the choke before kimbo did but you dont have any mma experence correct but you could say you could of got the choke. Now thats a joke

You just cant face the fact that kimbo beat alexander. see you talk all this shit about how he couldnt get this rear choke or couldnt do this or that but lets see if you can do it mr mma. Kimbo proved himself and made it into the ufc and won his first fight just like any other rookie does.

haha....this is great. I thought Alexander was going to win (as for wanting him to win, I could have cared less who won.) I saw what you call improvement, but Alexander makes anyone look good on the ground man and that is what YOU are not seeing. How did I make Kimbo look bad? His fights do that for him. He couldn't get the rear naked choke and if you can't see that, then you are a NEWB to MMA.

Let him fight someone in his own weight class and then tell me if he looked that much better. The guy couldn't even get the rear naked choke. That is one of the first moves you learn.
