    Rampage now Retires!!!

    First he backed out of the Machida fight then he goes on TUF 10 and is supposed to fight Rashad....the whole reason he said he didn't take the Machida fight was so he could fight Rashad and now he quits.

    The UFC has done a lot for me but I think I have done more for them. The UFC bought WFA to get my contract & they saved my life, so I felt loyal to them. They pushed me into a fight with Chuck Liddell even when I clearly stated I wasn’t ready to fight for the belt because the American fans didn’t know me but I took the fight and didn’t complain & after I won the American fans booed me for the first time which changed the way I saw them and it hurt me deeply.

    Then before I can even get out of the cage they announced that I was fighting Dan Henderson without even asking me. After I beat Dan Henderson, I made history in becoming the first undisputed champion in MMA but was never even given the pride belt in the cage & I was never promoted as the undisputed champ. Later Anderson Silva was.

    Then they had me coach TUF season 7 and fight Forrest and the fight was very controversial & normally when a fight is that close and controversial there is normally an instant replay. I can name a couple of instances. Instead they offered me the Wanderlei Silva fight which I gladly accepted even though I know it was a very risky fight for me to take because of all the drama that was happening to me at the time. I fought that fight with a jaw injury and then a couple weeks later Dana called me and asked me to fight Rashad. For the first time I said no, I didn’t want to fight because it was such short notice & I wouldn’t have had a long break between camps. Dana talked me into fighting Rashad anyway but Rashad refused the fight and so I had to fight Jardine as a favor to the UFC instead of getting my belt back (which wasn’t even worth it to me financially).

    Then I reinjured my jaw in the fight with Wanderlei & Jardine. Frank Mir gets hurt so they wanted to switch my fight from UFC 100 to the fight Frank couldn’t make it to but I couldn’t fight cause I needed jaw surgery. So they give Machida the fight against Rashad & they told me they want me to coach TUF season 10 against Rashad. That’s why I wanted Rashad to win so bad but when Rashad got knocked out I told them I wanted to fight Machida for the belt but Dana told me if I coach TUF against Rashad that I could fight Machida afterwards cause this was a different type of ultimate fighter show they were doing. After I signed the contract Dana then changes his mind & says I have to fight Rashad & even told me what to say in the press and so my fans think I was scared to fight Machida. After all that I still never complained and I did it all.

    Then this movie role came about that I have been trying to get for over a year and as soon as I found out I was close to getting it, I called Dana right away and asked to push the Memphis fight back just a month or so. I told him what this movie role meant to me. I told him that I used to bond with my father watching the TV show as a kid when my parents where still married & it represents the memories I had with my father when we lived together. My dad became an alcoholic and addicted to drugs and we grew apart. But after my dad got his life back together, I was so proud of my dad and I told him I would always take care of him in the future & make him proud of me. My dad and I are still very big fans of the show & I am basically doing this for the childhood memories I had spending time in front of the TV with my dad. Dana went on the internet & mocked me because of that and I still did nothing. Dana and I finally talked and we made up and then after that he went back on the internet and said some bullshit and he was talking bad about the movie when information is not even supposed to be released and talking about payments which is not even true could really hurt my future acting career, which could very well last longer than my fighting career. I’m not like Randy Couture. My body has been getting so many different injuries that I wont be able to fight until my forties and neither do I want to fight that long. So I feel like my second career could be in jeopardy… so I’m done fighting. I’ve been getting negative reviews from the dumb ass fans that don’t pay my bills or put my kids though college. So I’m hanging it up. I’m gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they’ll follow me to my new career and I will gain more loyal fans along the way. And all you hater fans out there can kiss my big black hairy ass! And anybody that don’t like what I just said can come try to kick my ass!

    I still feel the UFC is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn’t respect my loyalty but I wish the UFC the best. I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for and that’s all that matters to me!

    I just knew dana is a peice of shit and I wish ramapage the best of luck. No one really knows what fighters go through and the injuries.good luck dude

      As a follower of all of the MMA news, Rampage is coming off as the piece of shit IMO. This article has excuse after excuse and instant replays? Give me a freaking break! He turned down the Machida fight plain and simple. He asked to fight Rashad. And what TUF show in history has ever had the coaches not fight each other when they were in the same weight division? What a bunch of bull.

      The truth is he knows he can't compete anymore and sticking around will only hurt what little reputation he has. He does not want to train to get better. It has nothing to do with the UFC screwing him over. It is funny how all of the stories have changed not that he is quitting.

      If Dana was that big of a piece of shit Fuzo, the fighters would go fight elsewhere right? I mean you said yourself that there are other places they can go.

        If Dana was that big of a piece of shit Fuzo, the fighters would go fight elsewhere right? I mean you said yourself that there are other places they can go.
        you read to much into the news media and beleive dana white all the time and he has screwed other fighters and let them go for no good reason,he is power hungry. plus there are contracts these fighters have to fulfill or they wont get paid. It all depends how the contract is written for them to get paid. some quit and still get there money and then there are some that if they quit or let go they dont get there money. rampage is a champion held belts in 2 different organizations one of the best ever. Your not even taking into his injuries if he cant perform he cant fight plain and simple sometimes.

        you say he cant compete he has won the last 7-8 and he beat real great fighters. dan,chuck,wande and technicly he's right if the forest fight was that close it usualy goes to rampage. But I wanted forest to win but after I saw his heart with silva cmon he shouldnt of ever get that belt. and why do you or others want to beat up someone who wants to do movies my god you cant fight forever. Your family comes first tnz not the organization the ufc, your wife and kids are first fighting is 2nd. Family is the most important thing in the world. and you and me will never know the truth. all the different news medias will have something different to say just like politics.




        I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for and that’s all that matters to me!

          I believe the MMA news....not Dana's interviews. Rampage was done once he got beat by Griffin. I mean the guy went nuts man. He beat Wandy...so what. Wandy is not what he used to be. He stands there and bangs as does Liddell...that is why they are getting beat now. And Jardine? Give me a break. He beat Dan, I'll give you that, but he couldn't finish him.

          This has nothing to do with me beating him up for wanting to do movies..more power to him. I just think he went about it all wrong. He screwed a lot of people over. And as for the Forrest fight, I didn't think it was that close IMO. You are right, family is first. But don't bite the hand that feeds you. The acting career probably won't work out "as well" as he thinks it will. Huerta had all of these movie deals and what not already planned, so he said he wasn't going to fight any more. But you know what? It all fell through and now he wants the UFC to take him back. Rampage will be doing the same within a year.

          I would be willing to bet that Rampage does not have enough money to not work anymore. He keeps bringing up his wife and kids, but how does he think they have gotten food and money on the table this far? Where were the thoughts of his wife and kids when he was running from the cops in Cali hitting innocent bystanders? Where were the kids and wife then?

          These are all "woe is me" stories to make everyone think that Rampage was mistreated. Whatever....I don't buy into it. And it's not because of Dana or acting, it just my opinion from listening to Rampage and watching his actions over the past year or so.

            Thats a bold statement to make if your not certian 100%.Have you seen his bank accounts his sticks or bonds,no cmon lets be for real here



            Where were the thoughts of his wife and kids when he was running from the cops in Cali hitting innocent bystanders? Where were the kids and wife then?

            See that there tnz just shows how much you hate rampage to bring up this when he was going through a hard time in his life. and you think it was dana that got him out of this mess,not the laywers or doctors but dana white cmon dude. couldnt of been that bad if he got out of it.               Hate Rampage? Are you serious? I really like Rampage. He is a hometown boy. I was going to spend a lot of money to meet him in Memphis at the event. I guess that is why I am so irritated with his decision to bail out. I am not the only one that feels this way. Did you read any news when he got in trouble? Dana was the first person in Cali and was the guy that bailed him out of jail. I mean I understand that Dana didn't go in and defend him in court or anything, but come on. Just read the article, where Rampage says the UFC saved his life by buying the WFA to get his contract. Does that sound like a man that has enough money to retire? It was that bad...it was manslaughter...he killed an unborn baby dude!

              I am not that mad. I could care less about the UFC or anything that deals with it. It is just entertainment and not that important in my life. I am just stating facts to back up my opinion on Rampage's decision. It just sounds like I am mad because this is all typed out...kind of like reading an email or text. Don't take it too far out of context....it's really not that serious as far as I am concerned...there are thousands of fighters out there.

              Dana on a pedistal? Come on man...I was one of the biggest Dana bashers of all time not too long ago. I am just a person that gives credit where credit is due. Due I think Dana is a smartass and a wanna be dictator...YES! Do I think he is a hell of a businessman.....YES!

              You are completely taking my comments wrong. I am happy that Rampage can get an acting gig. I hope he makes millions. I hope he is a great actor. I just think that he went about it all wrong. I have had hopes and dreams of playing tournament golf for years. I still practice weekly and I play as much as I can. I pay good money to take lessons. Do I think I can make it on tour....NO. I have enough common sense to know that I am not a professional golfer...enough common sense to know that I won't quit my job over it. This does not mean I have failed or that I should quit playing. That's why they are hopes and dreams...you realize that chances are slim of making it and you have to take "your life and your family priorities" into perspective.

              Like I said, I am not mad or upset about his decision. I am simply backing up my arguments with why I think like I do.

              As far as out nation's leader....don't even get me started on that idiot!!! This is one of the few times I have actually been afraid of the state of our country. He is taking us to hell in a hand basket.

              I am on the same page as you Fuzo as far as Rampage needing to think about his future and doing what is best for him. I am just not a big fan of burning bridges and I think that is what he has done. Not to mention that I think he is just throwing out lame excuses for all that has happened.

                    See thats cause Rampage didnt REALLY tell you what happened. So we was in a bar and I told him he was stupid and couldnt read good. Then he tried to step up to me and I said, "hey look man, I need you to get my Nikes from under your wife's bed" then he got froggy and I knocked him out and ppl saw it and now he has to retire. I mean, I would do the same thing!

                      Whatever, let him do what he wants. Other pro athlets act like complete idiots and get treated like gods on a regular basis (T.O., Ochocinco, Branden Marshall etc) and in other sports athlets retire and come back and retire and come back again (Michael Jordan, Farve, Maywether etc) So why should this be any different? I'm sure their were deals broken on both sides so they are pissed, naturally. But Dana to me is a bum. Sure he built an empire but he just acts like a fool to me. You would never hear the NFL, MLB, NBA commisioner publicly making fun of one of their athletes the way Dana does. But you cant say anything back to Dana cause he will just F you over by limiting your fights so have to sit back and take it. Bullshiz. I just think he can be quite classless.

                              NO, THEY ARE ALL PRO ATHLETES IT DOESNT MATTER IF ITS FIGHTING RUNNING TENNIS OR WHAT EVER. THEY ARE ATHLETES
