For the past several days I have been reading statements made by St. Pierre and Greg Jackson about our fight on January 31. St. Pierre claims that he is “not a cheater” and that he and Greg Jackson will have “no problem with a rematch in the summer of 2009.” To the untrained eye the grease might not look like much, but every grappler knows the effect that it has. Being able to apply your submissions and sweeps or just being able to hold on to your opponent to defend yourself from being hit is absolutely critical! There is a reason why you are not allowed to put grease anywhere on your body except for the area around your eyes. Because of the grease applied to St.Pierre’s Body the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s executive director, Keith Kizer has stated that the Penn-St. Pierre fight “definitely wasn’t fair”. I hereby accept George St. Pierre and Greg Jackson’s challenge for a fight in the summer 2009. Lets call Dana now and set it up.

Well, here we go guys. Let's see if Dana makes this happen. Personally, I think that Florian and Alves should get their shots first. I mean, they have been waiting for a while now and it would be senseless to let this fight happen before they get their title shots.

Wouldn't it be funny if there really wasn't any vasoline on him and this whole thing was just a set up to make money when they fought again... I know its far fetched but I wouldn't put it past em'. Either way I agree, Florian and Alves should fight first, think those 2 fights are better match ups anyways.

- Plus, can anyone honestly say that the fight will go any different?

In no way shape or form do i think Georges St. Pierre went out to cheat. I think his cornerman f**ked up. That's what I think. Do I think it had a huge impact on the fight? No, I don't. But it's illegal. You cannot do it. And I think the cornerman's in trouble. That's what I think.

Do you think he meant to do it?
I don't know. I honestly couldn't answer that. I couldn't give you an honest answer. If he didn't know, how do you go in and corner somebody and not know the rules?

What would be disasterous for GSP is if he gets submitted in the rematch. Then his whole past career will be tainted badly.

I haven't seen the fight, yet, i really don't buy the greased pig theory.

I've seen many replays of GSP on spike, and i think what is tricking everyone is the man has two things that are very deceptive unless you look for it.

One: he is extremely graceful, in the ilk of he has almost zero excess body movement. Almost all he does with his limbs have a very short stroke in either his legs or his arms. An example would be standing long jump, i bet he would crush anyone if it was measured. This consitutes explosive power.

Two: Watching him i get the sense he is strong as a mother fker, i mean insane strong for his bodyweight, and muscle size. And as a fighter it is hard too see that on a tape or reply, yet, if you watch enough, he dominates, and the only way u can do that is by being way da f stronger than the other guys.

WELL HE HAS HIS OPINION BUT LETS RECOGNIZE THAT THIS HAS HAPPEN BEFORE IN FIGHTS WITH GSP AND BEING GREASED UP. SO LETS FACE IT EITHER HE'S UNAWARE ABOUT NOT KNOWING OR HE DID ALL ALONG IN EVERY FIGHT. YOU REVIEW TAPES AFTER FIGHTS GSP COULDNT SEE HIS CORNER MAN RUBBING HIS BACK IN THE BJ FIGHT AND PREVIOUS FIGHTS AND NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON.WHEN THE COMISSION HS WARNED BJ BEFORE ABOUT VASALINE BEFORE THE BJ FIGHT

If you dont buy the grease theory then review the fight tape.review the info that was told to the commision by bj's camp before the fight.review other fighters coming forth. review the witnesses that saw it including the owner of the ufc. review the pictures fit posted

I have to strongly dissagree about him being greased up for all his fights... there are people who watch for this stuff, theres no way he could get away with it every time. even though it happened this time, 2 different people came up and talked to them about it.

the vaseline didnt make a diff. BJ was never in a position to submit him or even take him down.

bj just got his ass kicked and is looking for excuses.

he should have said "i didnt train as hard as i should have and didnt come in with the best shape"

I have to strongly dissagree about him being greased up for all his fights... there are people who watch for this stuff, theres no way he could get away with it every time. even though it happened this time, 2 different people came up and talked to them about it.

The reason they came up and talked to him about it is because BJs camp had warned the NSAC to keep an eye on GSPs corner because they were afraid he would be doing it. The NSAC were purposefully watching GSPs corner all night. That is why they didn't get away with it this time.

So you haven't seen any of the footage or other accounts of him cheating but you've already formulated an opinion that he didn't cheat. Good to see you're impartial.
