No brainer here the fight record gets removed actions should be taken to gsp himself the whole team.if one cheats they all cheat. team work. and its now been proven in the past he's been greased up before

I think your all getting ahead of your selves...its pretty obvious BJ would of have lost regardless..so we know who the better man is....I hardly doubt if GSP lost in that regards he would *****....he has lost how many times and admitted he was out to lunch as well. I personally would like to see a re-match because I though it was stopped to soon...would of liked to seen BJ get beaten down some more and tap out himself on his own like the little big mouth ***** he is.

Georges St. Pierre has had enough.

The UFC welterweight champion should be celebrating the four-round pummeling he gave lightweight king B.J. Penn last Saturday at UFC 94 in Las Vegas. Instead, St. Pierre’s had to defend his integrity amidst allegations that his cornermen improperly applied Vaseline to the fighter’s shoulders and back during his first two corner breaks.

“Listen, I never cheated in my life,” an animated St. Pierre told Sherdog Radio Network’s “Beatdown” show on Wednesday. “Let me tell you something, I never said something bad to B.J. Penn. I never answered back to him with what he said. I’ve always been respectful. Even after the fight I went and told him, ‘Hey, keep your head up. You can be proud. You’re a tough guy. You stayed in the ring for a long time.’ But now that he says something like that it bothers me a lot. He already said I was taking steroids, that I was a quitter, that he was blaming me for seeing a sports psychologist and now he says that I cheat because I use Vaseline.”

The 27-year-old French Canadian, who narrowly bested Penn via split decision in their first meeting at UFC 58 in March 2006, said Penn’s contempt is misplaced.

“It’s disrespectful, but B.J. is a winner,” St. Pierre said. “I understand a winner’s mentality. A winner’s mentality always tries to understand the reason why he lost. In B.J.’s case, he doesn’t do it in a good way. I understand that he tries to understand why he lost, but what he should’ve done instead of looking at things he doesn’t control he should’ve looked at himself in the mirror and asked himself what he should’ve done better to be more well-prepared for that fight to be able to beat Georges St. Pierre instead of looking at me and try to find excuses… B.J. right now is doing it all wrong and he’s not going to become a better fighter if he keeps acting like this.”

GSP says a third bout
will be even worse for Penn.
Penn’s attorney, Raffi A. Nahabedian, filed a formal request letter to the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Tuesday, asking that the regulatory body investigate allegations that St. Pierre was “greased up” during the bout and impeded the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt’s ability to launch both a proper attack and defense from his back.

During the bout, NSAC officials instructed St. Pierre’s cornermen, Phil Nurse and Greg Jackson, to cease rubbing the fighter’s shoulders and back directly after they’d applied Vaseline to the fighter’s face. St. Pierre said the regimen was meant to enable his recuperative breathing between rounds.

“First of all what happened is Phil, he put Vaseline in my face, but then after he didn’t have the Vaseline,” said St. Pierre. “After he put Vaseline in my face, he didn’t put Vaseline in my back. That’s what people don’t understand. He put one hand on my chest and he made a circle behind my back. It helps my breathing.”

St. Pierre also outlined the importance of being massaged between rounds.

“When you come back in the corner, sometimes by punching and clinching, your shoulders are stiff,” said St. Pierre. “So it’s good to massage the shoulders to make the blood flow, you know what I mean? To make it more loose. If you look at muay Thai fights, in muay Thai they come back in the corner to get massage[d] to make the blood circulate. It’s the same thing in MMA. You get massage[d] to make the blood flow so you’re more fresh the next round.”

In the letter filed Tuesday with the NSAC, Penn’s camp also stated they’d received prior knowledge of St. Pierre’s alleged tendencies.

Matt Hughes, who lost to St. Pierre in two of their three welterweight bouts, has been one former opponent of the beloved Canadian champion to comment publicly about the allegations.

“I’m not saying GSP did something wrong and I’m not saying that it would have changed any outcomes of any fights; but what I am saying is, for my last two fights against Georges, he felt greasy,” read a post on Hughes’ Web site on Tuesday.

St. Pierre seemed shocked by Hughes’ words.

“I don’t know what to say,” he told the “Beatdown” hosts. “The next fight day they just have to check me. I have nothing to hide. It pisse[s] me off a little bit. It’s like people are jealous or something… I’m not going to talk bad. I don’t mind. Everything comes up and down in life. I think Matt Hughes is trying to find excuses now for going on the way down. I don’t know.”

When asked about giving Penn a rematch in light of the controversy, St. Pierre didn’t hesitate though.

“Lets go do a rematch with B.J. Penn,” said St. Pierre. “We’re going to do it this summer. St. Pierre-Penn III -- and this time we’ll wear a rash guard. I guarantee you the result will be the same or even worse for him.”

BJ Penn got his ass handed to him, they could fight 5 more times and GSP would win 5 more fights.. this issue is over, no one wants to see them fight again, I would love to see him beat him again, but whats the point. Bring on another fight...

BJ is 3-3 in has last 6 fights... definitely not pound for pound best fighter status there.. over rated, like ive said it a million times. He's not even in the top 5 in lighweights.. please.. I cant wait til Florian whoops his ass too..

still cant admit it can ya shiz,nope.you and others over look the real bj not showing up to the fight you cant admit the vasaline incident now. but always bj sucks or over rated.other fighters are now coming out about gsp being greased up.you cant even admit dana white the owner seeing it or even bj's camp before the fight say something because they knew.why is that shiz.even before the fight and it was true.dude i'm sure you read all about bj and how he half assed his ways in the past and still won. and you wont give credit due when he started to train like a champ before pulver and how he breazed through pulver,stevenson,sherk. oh and would of beat hughes if in the right condition.fastest american to bjj black belt but he's over rated huh. fukin brazilians cant even get the black belt that fast and win a championship like BJ did.

How can you say that? You make it sound like he just has a 3-3 record and he is an aerage fight. What you forgot to mention was the fact that 3 of those losses have come at the hands of WWs. How many times has GSP went up to MW and fought? Everyone wants to bash on BJ for these losses but they don't want to bring up the fact that these losses are coming at the hands of bigger fighters. Let GSP go to MW and fight the top guys and then we can talk.

No Im not a BJ hater.. and its not a retarded statement.. I just think that he's not a "real" champion because he doesnt have the drive like some of these other guys do... Champions live for it.. BJ doesnt.. I think he is a great fighter and "could" be one of the best ever if he put more into it... but he doesnt, thats why I think he's over rated

I agree with that as well. Showing up out of shape or "out of it" once or maybe twice might be overlooked, but BJ has done that multple times. If he really wanted to he could get in shape to always go the distance but he doesn't for whatever reason. I used to love BJ, and I still like him, but I lost a lot of love for him recently. Either retire, or train 100% for your fights NO EXCUSES!

Do you think Hughes was referring to GSPs greasy leg that nearly kicked his head off in their second fight?

A third fight would be interesting but I highly doubt it will be too much different. If anything I could see it being a little worse. GSP will train so hard for another rematch it might be kind of scary.

If the commish was warned to look out for suspicious activity before the fight, why did it ever occur, assuming it did? I read that GSP was wiped down with a towel after the second round from their out.
