    UFC special announcement on Couture's return today

    After 11 months of fighting in the courts it looks like the UFC and Randy Couture have buried the hatchet. The promotion is holding a press conference on Tuesday at Noon PT to announce a new deal with the heavyweight champion.

    Couture is expected to face Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 in Portland in what could be the biggest pay-per-view show in the UFC's history. There is also talk now that with a win over Lesnar, Couture could face Fedor Emelianenko in 2009, under the UFC banner.

    Randy has a tough road ahead!!

        wont even be close, Randy is in the top 5% of fighters and Brock is a newbie

          I think Randy will have alot more trouble with Nog, if he gets by Mir, than he will Brock. Randy has the better wrestling along with everything other aspect. Brock will definately have the size and strength advantage.

            With that road it doesn't look like they've burried the hatchet. It looks like they're still pissed at Randy. Those are two tough fights.

            Lesner just because he's a little of muscle to be moving around.

            Did anyone see how Fedor blasted Tim Sylvia in like 3 seconds? He's a certified bad-ass!!!

              Oh yeah, it will definately be tough. Randy wants a fight with Fedor and the UFC probably told him that if he can get through these guys then they will make the Fedor fight happen. Randy is looking at what 2 years or so before he would get to fight Fedor? And a year now since he has fought. No way he will beat Fedor and thats if he can get by the other two. But the one thing I will never do is bet against Randy. The guy is tough as nails and seems to always come in with a good game plan.

                  He will beat Brock no problen, but i think Fedor will destroy Randy.
                  You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

                            mir got him in a ankle lock after brock destroyed him with alot of punches and a feirc ground attack on him. but the dumb ass ref stopped the fight and took a point away for hitting in the back of the head. which was a lame stoppage. the it started again and brock hit him some more then got caught

                              Mir would have gotten him anyway. brock is going to have to learn some ground game before he will be dominant. When he faces a top ground fighter, he will be in trouble again. Mir got that ankle lock easily. The only reason Brock looked like he did anything is because he comes out balls to the wall throwing everything...almost out of control. That makes everyone think he is really doing something. Once people get him figured out, he will be done. You have to think now, the UFC fighters have had no tapes to study on him. They are going in there thinking wrestling. Now that he has had a longer fight with Herring, the other guys have something to study for his holes...which will be many. That is why Randy will win the fight. The only thing Brock has is size and strength. They are both very good wrestlers.
