He was his trainer at one time. He might hate him now. There was a big article on this a while back on my mma message board. It was a pretty big landslide poll that he has no chance of being successful at MMA. Thats not why they bought the WEC. They bought the WEC to optimize their own talent pool and give talented fighters a place to go and improve to be brought to the UFC to be elite. I meant to say that this is why they have the WEC. This has been discussed by Dana in the past. He says that the UFC has no intentions on creating a 145lb division because the WEC already has that going. The WEC is also a place for the fighters that don't make it in the UFC to have somewhere else to go without leaving the org. Undoubtedly, I am huge Mayweather fan. But I will be the first to admit, he would never hang in MMA. Many boxing greats and not so greats have tried before.
