kimbo has some great trainers and he will get better at his ground game and I think he will be a force in mma. IMO he has the hardest punches ive ever seen.
The reason Kimbo fought Tank is because it would put butts in the seats. They are two street fighting legends. Kimbo will not fair so well against true MMA fighters. I don't like Tim Sylvia but he would pick Kimbo apart quite easily. I don't really see many people in the UFC HW division that Kimbo can beat. I'm not saying that he doesn't have the talent to one day be a good MMA fighter. I'm just saying right now he only has a puncher's chance at winning at best. Bas will definately bring him up to a top level....but it won't be overnight. He really showed me nothing in the Tank fight.

Speaking of hard punches, I watched a tv show where they measured the power of Rampage's punch. It was like 1800lbs of pressure. They said it would be like a baby hippopatamus(sp?) sitting on your face.

The only 2 heavyweights I can see Kimbo having a problem with are Kongo and Arlovski. Maybe Gonzaga to. Everyone else I can see him walking over.
HAHA!! Come on man. I would bet on almost any of the HW beating Kimbo. Brock Lesnar would beat the living crap out of him and he is new to MMA. Kimbo has nothing for the UFC ...yet. He will be a good MMA fighter if he sticks with it, but the street fighting thing won't hold up with true MMA competition. So what he beat Tank..I would bet against Tank fighting almost anyone in the UFC...in any division. Tank is no comptetition for anyone anymore man. The only reason Kimbo fought him was because they were street fighting legends and they didn't want Kimbo to lose. Kimbo was not impressive in that fight at all. You obviously don't watch MMA or your list of fighters would have been MUCH longer. Here is my list of fighters that would BEAT kimbo:
Arlovski
Andrei
Couture
Randy
Eilers
Justin
Gonzaga
Gabriel
Hardonk
Antoni
Herring
Heath
Kongo
Cheick
Lesnar
Brock
McCully
Justin
Mir
Frank
Nogueira
Antonio Rodrigo
O'Brien
Jake
Sanchez
Eddie
Sylvia
Tim
Vera
Brandon
Wellisch
Christian
Werdum
Fabricio

if kimbo keeps the fight up,striking,...he's very tough to beat...who can strike with him??
he must learn some other skills, which supposedly rutten is doing...

LOL....I don't know what UFC you're watching, but Kimbo would get beat by a UFC middle weight like Anderson Silva who weighs 50lbs less!
Look at that dude Houston Alexander who is basically just a striker like Kimbo. When they put Alexander in the ring with Thiago Silva he got his ass kicked!!! Same thing will happen to Kimbo. Striking only gets you so far. You need some ground game to make it into the UFC. That's why it's called MMA. You can't be a one dimensional fighter and expect to win all the time!
kimbo has been training at one of the best MMA camps in the nation. he was a street fighter. Now he is making a name for himself in the UFC.
Just like any great boxer or wrestler there is a transition that is made to make them a UFC fighter. either way that dude would beat the **** out of any 3-5 of us at a time.
I don't think his striking is that awesome. I mean in his street fights, when he would fight someone that actually had some striking ability, he had trouble with them. Just because he is training with a good MMArtist doesn't mean that he can get on the same level as a guy thats been training in the arts since he was 6. He is not that talented. Tim Sylvia has much better standup than Kimbo and I don't really like Sylvia.
