"Based on the evidence developed in connection with the investigation and summarized in this Report, we have concluded that it is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the NFL Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate attempt to circumvent those rules," the report, released Wednesday, said.

    also

"Based on the evidence, we also have concluded that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of [Jim] McNally and [John] Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls," the report said.

Whats next..... I hope some big suspensions.

I don't know guys I just don't see this as a big deal. I'm hearing all these guys on the radio likening this too Barry Bonds/Sosa/McGwire "cheating" in baseball and I just don't even feel it is on the same wave length. Not even by a long shot.

I saw take away a fifth round pick for the team and suspend Brady for a game. It isn't like all these teams aren't out there trying hustle wins no matter how they can. I mean like look at PED testing. The trainers for my local pro team send their guys off season to a friend of mine to put on weight for the up coming season. No body in the media thinks its weird guys can put 20 lbs of muscle on in 8 weeks?

Sorry got off topic but really just don't see deflate gate as a big deal.

I think deflating the football is worse than taking PEDs. Talk about an easy way out. Get as big and strong as you want but when you alter the equipment that's about as low as it gets. It's like using a corked bat. It would be like a weight lifter putting on 45s that were really 25s. The part that REALY makes me mad as hell is he didn't even do it himself. He made some one else do it. I know he couldn't do it himself but what does that say about him as a competitor..... Rant over.

Some texts from the Wells report...

it found that officials' locker room attendant Jim McNally and equipment assistant John Jastremski "participated in a deliberate effort to release air from Patriots game balls after the balls were examined by the referee." The 243-page report contains text messages sent between McNally and Jastremski, including ones that take shots at Brady.

            • Wells: 'More probable than not' Patriots altered footballs

The following text messages are taken directly from the Wells Report:

Before the start of the 2014-15 season, McNally referred to himself as "the deflator" and stated that he was "not going to espn……..yet." On May 9, 2014, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

            McNally: You working
            Jastremski: Yup
McNally: Nice dude....jimmy needs some kicks....lets make a deal.....come on help the deflator
McNally: Chill buddy im just f----- with you ....im not going to espn........yet

On Oct. 17, 2014, following a Thursday night game between the Patriots and the New York Jets during which Tom Brady complained angrily about the inflation level of the game balls, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

McNally: Tom sucks...im going make that next ball a f----- balloon
Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done...
Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though...
Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs f----- us...a few of then were at almost 16
Jastremski: They didnt recheck then after they put air in them
McNally: F--- tom ...16 is nothing...wait till next sunday
            Jastremski: Omg! Spaz

On Oct. 21, 2014, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

McNally: Make sure you blow up the ball to look like a rugby ball so tom can get used to it before sunday
            Jastremski: Omg

On Oct. 23, 2014, three days before a Sunday game against the Chicago Bears, Jastremski and McNally exchanged the following messages:

Jastremski: Can't wait to give you your needle this week
McNally: F--- tom....make sure the pump is attached to the needle.....f----- watermelons coming
            Jastremski: So angry
McNally: The only thing deflating sun..is his passing rating

The next day, Oct. 24, 2014, Jastremski and McNally exchanged the following messages:

Jastremski: I have a big needle for u this week
McNally: Better be surrounded by cash and newkicks....or its a rugby sunday
            McNally: F--- tom
Jastremski: Maybe u will have some nice size 11s in ur locker
McNally: Tom must really be working your balls hard this week

On Jan. 7, 2015, eleven days before the AFC Championship Game, McNally and Jastremski discussed how McNally would have a "big autograph day" and receive items autographed by Brady the following weekend, before the playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens. McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

McNally: Remember to put a couple sweet pig skins ready for tom to sign
Jastremski: U got it kid...big autograph day for you
McNally: Nice throw some kicks in and make it real special
            Jastremski: It ur lucky. 11?
McNally: 11 or 11 and half kid

            Pretty messed up....

              Re: Deflate Gate Findings

Tom Brady will be the highest-profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.

Roger Goodell’s decision is expected to be announced next week, and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.

In conversations I’ve had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Ave., there is little doubt that Goodell considers Brady’s role in DeflateGate a serious violation.

Essentially this the NFL saying Tomk Brady is guilty,

NEW YORK -- The NFL has suspended Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady without pay for the first four games of the season, fined the New England Patriots $1 million and taken away two draft picks as punishment for deflating footballs used in the AFC title game, the league said in a statement Monday.

The NFL also indefinitely suspended the two equipment staffers believed to have carried out the plan, including one who called himself "The Deflator."

Brady will miss the season's showcase kickoff game Sept. 10 against Pittsburgh, Week 2 at Buffalo, a home game against Jacksonville and a game at Dallas. He will return the week the Patriots face the Colts in Indianapolis.

i hope they over turn the decision myself and i hate the patriots. their suspensions are so all over the place and punishments are all over the place. until i see them put out that they have proof that he cheated then i dont think its fair.

                    Re: Deflate Gate Findings

the super bowl is in the history books. i dont believe in overturning anything that was allowed to proceed as is. they shouldve dealt with this during the post season when the issue first took light. as for now, i would just suggest they need to strengthen there procedures on enforcing the rules so this doesnt happen a second time.

                      Re: Deflate Gate Findings

The NFL can't and shouldn't change the Superbowl win. Fans will have an asterisk by all the Patriots wins since Brady and Belichick have been together. There is a culture of cheating on that team no matter what you think of the infractions. To say all teams cheat is a poor argument. All teams look for an advantage but all teams do not break the rules. This is not the Patriots first walk in the park. I am not sure why people insist on having video evidence or a signed confession of Brady's involvement. Brady would not turn over his cell phone..... I think the appeal, when and if it happens will be very interesting to watch.

                        Tom's gearing up for battle....

The NFL doesn’t lose very often, not when there are courts involved.

But over the last two decades, when it has lost, it’s a safe bet Jeffrey L. Kessler has been the opposing counsel.

Kessler is the attorney Tom Brady has hired to help represent him as he tries to get the four-game suspension handed down on Monday for his role in Deflategate reduced or eliminated.

A lifelong New York City resident, Kessler graduated from Columbia — alma mater of Patriots owner Robert Kraft — for both his undergraduate (1975) and law (1977) degrees.

Since then, Kessler has built a reputation as one of the best antitrust attorneys in the world, winning major cases in both the corporate and sports sectors.
