man...you guys....lol......I got beat by an all motor Geo Metro the other day.....OK...i had to get that out of the way.....wheew......OK
Lets argue your first point. Mustang GT.....im not sure of the price and ive never seen 1 go 13.XX...Most mags say 14.2 Ive seen 14.0. I think a WRX, Lancer Evo, Honda S2000, and they are all doing it with smaller displacement motors. Ill leave the wing argument alone as i seem to be the only one that enjoys carving corners at the limit in an M3 or Supra. What the HP/per ltr is, that American Muscle is Looooow tech and the only reason they make that power is because of the size. An integra GSR motor will sit next to a 95 GT and beat a 96 GT. Why? Technology, Weight of car, Transmission soak and ratio. My Supra @ 670 is just as reliable as it was at stock. You know why...Because the heads never been off the car. All the internals, are stock. A turbo car is more reliable then an all motor car. As far as using the supra as an example, i will. Pick on some other cars......Civic Type R, S2000, Integra R, because you all are using, GT's and the like as an example. If you are just labeling ricers as ones who drive, Camrys, DX Civics with no mods, Base Jettas then fine....ill agree. Id rather see someone buy an older corrado with a VR6 motor then take a new base Jetta and try with it. As far as warranties....lets use the big boys......94 Supra....50 Year 60K in 94 man...thats beast.....Viper 3 years today. S2000, a car that redlines @ 9K and has 120 HP per liter, 240HP out of 2 ltrs......6 year 72K. NSX, Same,
Again....import cars I consider race cars and depends what u mean by race....Road Coarse, Drag, Auto X...
Toyota Supra TT Drag, Road
Acura NSX Road
Acura RSX-R Road
Honda Civic-R Road
Nissan Skyline Drag and road
Nissan 350Z Both
Nissan 300ZX TT Both
Mazda RX-7 (Shitty Reliability) Both
Toyota MR-2 Turbo Both
We can agree to disagree.....I will prolly always think that Turbo cars are better than big blocks......Too many varibles to argue such as looks, gas mileage, AC or no AC...all in what you want to build and can handle financially. I can build cars at will...I have that luxury....I bust my balls to get it. Someone who is not as fortunate as me may be only able to spend enough on a 94 Z28 and thats OK by me to. But if some kid went out with the same budget as the kid with the camaro and bought a 91 CRX for 1500 and the kid in the Z spent 10K and the CRX kid swapped an 2.2 VTEC boosted with rebuilt internals.....but hes all stickered up.....its over for the Z....My point is i agree with you to an extent....you cant look at every import with stickers as slow...I personally hate when they do that....But i also hated the Metro with Jegs stickers that beat me to a bloddy pulp the other day (For the Record...had we been on it for another 5 secs id ripped his windshield out on the way by him.
