My new AR 15 6.5 Grendel build

Just got her done last week. After barrel break in I was hitting 3/4 MOA (4 inch groups at 567 yards in 4 shot strings at the local range)

X-Caliber stainless bull barrel, 1 in 8 twist with 11 degree target crown
Midwest Industries 12 inch free float handguard
3 pound Timney single stage trigger
Anderson Manufacturing lower/upper recievers
Warne 20 MOA scope mount
Vortex 6.5x20x44 scope (I'll be replacing this with a HST next Spring)
Black nitride BCG
Magpul STR stock

that's pretty man and holding sub 1 moa at over 500 yards. now that's a sweet build and weapon

I left the barrel assembly to my local gunsmith, as for the other stuff like putting the parts in the upper and lower receivers, the trigger, and the buffer assembly, I honestly got most of that information off of youtube or www.65grendel.com...there's ton's of info out there online about building your own ar15...the trigger was supper easy since it was just a Timney drop-in...literally just had to take off my grip and pull out my safety selector switch and tighten the initial setting screws and top them off with the back-up "anti-backing" screws I guess you'd call them? If you plan on building one, it's definately worth it...After making my with all the specs I wanted, I'll never purchase an off-the-rack ar15 again.

i believe i saw somewhere he posted it was holding sub moa at 500 yards. that's a hell of a group

DAMN!. i have an acquaintance built a 21 inch barrel grendel. he uses it to smash hogs on his property that trash his deer feeders.

he says it's KO power is massive. I have not spoken to him in a year but he showed me pics last we hung out. has the same ballistics at under 200 yards as a .308. that is impressive.
