  • Ugh

So been moping since Thursday. Had an MRI on my left shoulder the 16th of August since I only got 2 months of relief from last cortisone shot. Saw surgeon to go over it Thursday. Said unfortunately there's a small tear in the rotator cuff. Can fix it arthroscopic and remove the bone spur and clean up the arthritis in there same time with only three weeks out of work so it's a no brainer but the 4-6 months of no serious iron training is so demoralizing. If he gets me in within the next week or so I won't be tossing around the pounds he's I'm handling now even injured until January or February. How fucking pissed am I? Looks like I'll be looking to tear it up in the FG fitness challenge this year. Mexico in shitty condition 2 years in a row isn't gonna happen. Have to keep cardio and at least legs and as much abs I can handle without screwing up shoulder healing will have to do til I can hit it hard again.

    Re: Ugh

man that sucks. try to look at it positively. you will get super healthy doing a lot of cardio and by focusing yourself on legs you can really develop a body part that many of us including myself are deficient.

Jipped is 100% right it's a good thing. You should look at it like that why look at it as a negative. Negative has not ever got a Damn thing done. 2 years ago at the you age of 45. I ripped my Tricep tendon completely off my elbow. And I'm back brother my right side is just about to catch up and their were plenty who said I was done. Done and those people can suck it. Lol. I'm going to shoot you a pm if you don't mind and tell you what I did to make the speedy recovery.

An old friend of mine from forums maxmurph destroyed his shoulder, I mean literally destroyed it his docs told him he would never lift again but he's a fighter and said screw you doc. He did some research and found a path to rehabilitate his shoulder and came back like a beast. If you like I can try and contact him and get some info on his "recovery method"

Take it from a guy who has had more injuries than I can to mention. Each time it took more to come back from and each time I came back stronger. It takes a lot to come back when you knocked down, but that is part of the game. Use the time down to focus on cardio and diet. Come back stronger once you can.

You can do it brotha. It sucks, but it's just one more opportunity to come back bigger and stronger. Use the hunger and motivation to make this next vacation to Mexico the best one yet.

BG, that sux but I know you will get through this. I can tell you that Fuzo has had both done, 2 times on 1 and once on the other. After every surgery he still trained daily. Went to the gym and did cardio and modified his training. He also ate really good and made sure his protein intake was higher. Modified his shoulder training and his shoulders have been good ever since. You are relentless and you will come through this.

That's the plan, the 3 weeks I'll be in the sling I plan to be on the treadmill daily and hitting legs on machines and the ab machine until I get sling gone. Then along with pt I'll be doing whatever doesn't hurt it to be training. Cancun will be here before I know it and I plan to be ripped and panty moistening when I get off the plane in Cancun this year [emoji106]

                      Re: Ugh

So date for surgery is Tuesday the 12th. I'll be going for ekg and blood work today as well as fitted for the post op sling. For pain until surgery I've been using 2 teaspoons of the kratom from our sponsor with orange juice and it works for now. Obviously on post op pain meds after surgery. Other than that just waiting for Tuesday and post op starts weds.
