  • TOXIC overload

this word is a bit over used in today's world, imo. Toxic food, people, air, thoughts, and so on. While I do believe toxicity is in all this, I also think more realistically. I admit I am one who uses this also. All we can do is try to limit this, to the best of our abilities. I feel a more realistic view is that there will always be some toxicity around us and we also may encounter such, personally. It's about boundaries and awareness. To me, attempts to completely avoid this means I live my life alone and in a bubble and that bubble better be glass.

So true. We weren't meant for this much toxicity.

the outdoors has always been my thing even as a kid. I am grateful to have spent all the time I did outside. Give me rocks, shells, dirt , trees, worms, water, feet in the sand and so on. Its such a feeling of self connection and feeling alive. Oh and at night, even more awesome things to see. O2 I am headed to the lake so I am hoping for some ribtips with your seasonings and some biscuits too please, lol.

Oh my God that is exactly what I'm talking about !!!!!!!! All these people telling me "I couldn't stand being out in the woods". WTF ???? I have allways found refuge and peace in the forest, with all the colors, smells, and sounds of the animals ! Ever since I could walk that was my place to go. When I had bullies chasing me I would run to the woods and they stopped dead in their tracks. (for some reason, people of color don't like it)..Bwaaahaha !!! I have planed a bunch of cool trips to the Cascades for this summer, kinda' bittersweet since my Gf is gone and my best Bro passed away. Now I'm just going to be hangin' out there alone, but it will be allright, maybe Sasquatch will get to liking the taste of cold beer and pretzels ? I'm bringing two big coolers this time ! I have a climb I'm going to try again and a backpacking trip over the Canadian boarder,..thought that would be kinda cool.

            Re: TOXIC overload

i think toxic has been been overused and now means less.

"oh now that trump is president the USA is toxic."

hmmmmm well no. it is not toxic. if you did not watch the media you would not have known we had a new pres as my bills keep coming. nothing changed.

            here are examples of toxic:

Woman has an alcoholic abusive husband that beats her near to death............toxic

guy is hospitalized after drinking bleach to pass a piss test.............bleach is toxic if ingested

            definition of toxic

: containing or being poisonous material especially when capable of causing death or serious debilitation

OR extremely harsh, malicious, or harmful

toxic does not describe a spat with a friend or someone's microaggression.

i agree with you baby, boundaries and awareness would take care of most of this "toxic" stuff for most folk. over reaction is the snowflake's mantra
"SHIAT BIOTCH, thats a big ass!"

              Re: TOXIC overload

I think alone time is paramount to our overall health. We live in such a fast paced world now that it seems harder and harder to truly embrace. With all the technology out there, even when we're alone, we aren't. I enjoy being social around people, but I cherish my moments spent alone. Those times when my head clears and I can feel the bombardment of the world easing its grip. It's like a recharge to my battery.
