Baseball question!

So I had a softball game last night, and I was up, there was a runner on second. I got a legitimate single, line drive over the shortstop (thank you, thank you) and the runner on 2nd tried to make it home like a dummy and got thrown out by a mile at home. How do you count that for me?? I (obviously) want a hit! I think they marked it as a fielder's choice.

Impretty sure it should be marked as a hit. When a runners on second he is considred to be in scoring position I guess that would be the reason for calling it a FC.

Its a hit, the runner did not even have to move from second base, how the hell is that a fielders choice?

its straight up a single for you.....and its just marked as the runner out at home....you receive a single...but no RBI haha, good work!!!....the only way its a fielders choice is if theres a runner on 1st or 1st and 2nd...and you ground one of them out. Its the same concept if you hit a ball in the gap or something, and you get thrown out at 3rd tryin to get triple.....you are not given an out, yuo are credited with a double.
