Dzone you are absolutely right that motor vehicles are bad investments because they depreciate in value over time.

That being said I love pick up trucks and if I was in your position I would get that bad ass truck. Looks bad ass, sounds bad ass, and performs bad ass from the city to the country. If you take care of it (which I think you would) 200K should not be an issue with a Raptor. I think you will love owning this truck and ladies will be fighting to get into it with you. You may want to go darker with that tint lol

dude.. i would straight up get it.. i bought a new silverado 1500 and put a 2/4 drop on it with rims.. im in my forties DGF.. i like the look and lifes to short to be practical all the time. ive been driving practical for the last 16 years. hell i would of bought vette if i didnt need the truck for work but fuck it ive saved and worried about money to long.. no mas.. your labor your money enjoy every penny of it. 200k so what make it 300k drive it till the wheels fall off and enjoy every minute

I sure am appreciative to ya'll for encouraging me to get that truck. I was driving a 17 year old beater truck that was falling apart.
I was thinking owning a raptor was a far off dream.
I traded the old mustang on the raptor and am selling my old truck and honestly, Im so sold on the Raptor that I cant imagine ever driving a car again. Once I drove that truck, I was hooked. The ride is ridiculously smooth and quiet. This is one of the best things I ever did for myself. It feels so great to drive that truck. It was a tough decision at first, but in the end, it made financial sense as well as practical.

Now I need to look into doing some stuff, to get the horsepower up to 500. lmao

it is a great truck. but you are paying for an offroad racer. most never touch the dirt. I would get a regular pickup and save the $$$ from the raptor unless you plan on racing a stock class.

as a daily driver it is inferior on the street and hauling due to softer long travel suspension. it does have a beefed up trans and a great motor. but it is a gas hog and offroad tires on the street wear out pretty quick and will cost way more than regular pickup tires.

I am not saying it is not awesome, it is. but if you just plan on driving back and forth to work, get a newer pickup with more interior bells and whistles for your comfort and enjoyment.
