I have a brother-in-law like this. Same situation, only alcohol, not pot. Came to live with us for four months right after we bought our first house. Almost like he was waiting in the bushes or something. Fed him and lent him money, he left and came back a second time two years later for another four months.

This time I caught him stealing money from me. I know my wife loves him, but I had a heart to heart with him. Told him very simply, he was to leave the house by the end of the week. If he told his sister what happened, I would hunt him down and kill him. Period. There was no way I wanted my wife this involved, it wasn't fair to her, too much heartache. I am usually not that way with people, but I didn't think it was fair for him to play my wife like that.

Long story short, he hasn't bothered her since.
