  • City requests injunction to halt Philadelphia transit strike

    The city of Philadelphia wants a judge to order striking transit employees to return to work on Election Day so residents can get to the polls to vote.

    oh poor transit workers, they make more $$$ than they are worth but want more and better benefits and job security even when they are terrible employees. only people that benefit from unions are the union employees and the union itself which is a $$$ making business. (oh also politicians that the unions grease with cash so they are pro union)

    i was a teamster for 4 years. i saw 1/3 of the workforce were lazy turds but could not be fired. if you are in a union no offense but all it does for me is raise prices on goods and services and CAN in many cases lower quality of said goods and services.

      unions are a big old crock of shit across the board period. and them wanting to knock this strike down only has to do with wanting voter turnout. if you apply yourself work hard and want a damn job you dont need a freaking union to do so

        agree. they were necessary when people were getting killed working for next to nothing in horrid conditions but now we have osha, minimum wage, ect. they are a crock
