  • Old Family Films

When my grandpa died, he left boxfuls of old 8 mm family movies. We took all of them and had them converted to dvd so I was watching some yesterday. Wow. Have you ever seen yourself as a kid? Its weird. I saw my first day of Kindergarten, Seeing myself with my mom and dad, who are both gone now-very strange. Seeing my brother who is dead playing baseball with me in the backyard.

I Love doing this too. In fact, the 3 of us were looking through old pics of when our daughter was little. WE were laughing a lot. Felt good. We have so many videos I want to convert to. On Xmas evening, the big highlight was that my Dad would pull out the slides and do a slide show. We loved that. I always reflect back to old pics and videos, especially in a slump. There can be tears, pain ,joy etc but it keeps me grounded and felling real. thanks for sharing, Dzone

I've occasionally gone back and watched some old family videos. It is pretty cool seeing yourself when you were younger. I think the coolest part is when I see myself in an old family video as a kid doing something that I can't really pinpoint doing from my memory. It's like I'm wondering what was going through my mind at that moment lol.
