Found guilty of Assault Causing Bodily Injury!

I got convicted yesterday for Assault Causing Bodily Injury. It all happened like this: This punkass***** filed the charges on me and I never touched him. He claimed I hit his ear and it was red. He filed a harassment complaint with the company I worked for, saying that I threatened him. I did threaten to break him in half after he kept running his mouth off. Every word out of his mouth was a smart-ass comment so I got sick of it and threaten to take him outside. He then reported me to the company and without hearing my side I was fired. This all happened 18 months ago. After I was told I was fired, I went off and confronted this dude at work and his 2 buddies tried to intervene, an we all went to the ground, it was on, 3 on 1, and then several fellow coworkers broke it up. That’s when he filed the charges claiming that I rushed in an punched him in the ear. He had 3 witnesses to my 1. They where all best of friends so they vouched for him and so I got charged. I went to court and thought there was no way they had a case so we took it to a jury trial and they convicted me. The fat ass judge sentenced me to a year in county and $1500.00 fine. My attorney plead my case with the judge that I had a family to support and the state let me off on 2 years supervised probation. The state also brought up my priors that happened 13 years ago. I got in trouble in high school (when I was young and dumb) selling drugs. I got a deferred sentence on that and served out my probation. I thought a deferred meant they couldn’t use that against you in a court law? Well they did. Is this what are justice system has come to when they can still use this shit?

At least you didn't get jail time....Without knowing the whole situation. You should have filed an official complaint against him, after he did it to you, threatened to sue the company for slander (that might have caused him to get fired too).
Confronting him at work after you were fired was not a good move.
Just notch it as an experience point and forget about the pansey.

Sorry to hear about what happened, but the guys said it best before me, you should have filed a formal complaint with your company in the first place and circumvented the entire situation. Unfortunately it's too late to do anything now, the damage is beyond repair, and this is an additional charge on your record.

So keep your nose clean, stay out of trouble, and pay the fine right away so the courts don't have additional reasons to come after you.

BTW, deferred sentence means that while you comply with the additional conditions set forth by the court, your sentence will be deferred. Once you break the conditions, the deferment is reinstated.

i ahd sma esituation sorta fucker started with me i beat him unsenceless cracked his jaw and bruised his eye socket or sum shit (mind u he started it ) and then he tried to sue me and do all thsi other shit liek emtnal damge and all that ***** crap but i laughed cuz i ahve nothing worht anythign accept few old cars etc.. alls i got was few motnhs in jail that time but it didnt help i had jsut gotten off probation asa minor but ohwell!

Yea but I didnt break the conditions. I served out the deffered without getting into any more trouble. And was told it could not be used against me.
As far as the fight goes, I felt as if I was defending myself when his 2 bros jumped in while we were Arguing. I was well liked with our company also, I ran with almost everyone that worked there except these 3 fags. I think they were gay or something because no one with the company liked them guys. They had all just started there 3-4 months prior had no women and never had any. So it makes me think they might be flamers!
