White lies

If someone tells white lies, then they are too comfortable with lying.
I told the girl that works for me, we dont tell white lies around here , white lies are as bad as big lies because they make it feel like lying is ok. I might tell a white lie to spare someones feelings but thats about it. If the truth is just too painful to tell someone, a white lie might be the only way to go lol

I dont hate much but I HATE lying. say it the way it is a face the consequence. I am trying to teach this to mu daughter as she gets older.

ehhhh, what context is the white lie in?

I have told a gal at work she is lovely when she was so proud of loosing a few pounds and got a new outfit. i could have told her she looks like a peacock on acid that could still use to loose 20#. I made her day and did not hurt her feelings. if i said nothing that would hurt her too.

Now there are white lies that are BS for sure

i have more respect for someone that is straight up honest right out of the gate than a bser. you dont want to help me out this weekend, then f'n say so. dont make up lies and bs excuses as to why you cant. i have no problem with someone telling me no at all. it's when you can see right through their bs that makes it hard to deal with people

I agree guns. I can handle the truth more than the lie or excuse. I still may not like it but I have great respect for it

Ive told people they looked great who have been working out hard even tho I cant see any progress. Sometimes We have to give people something to feel good about, even if its a placebo. If we all went around telling people what we really thought, it would be a shitty world lol

I feel a lie is a lie. No matter the color. If someone will lie to you, that's them hiding the fact that they'll do ...whatever... to you again. If someone comes clean and shows remorse for a lie. That tells me they truly regret the lie and action hidden by lie. Therefore, no more bad action to cover by lie. Continue lie. Continue action lie covers. If that made sense.

awwww i get what you are saying. sometimes the truth ain't worth the hassle. i agree telling someone "hey i have a dr appt instead of telling them you do not want to go to eat Thai food and see some sappy movie is wrong. just tell em you prefer mexican food and action movies.

that's especially true when you happen to cross paths when they were supposed to have that appointment and they play it off like it got canceled.

I remember when I was in high school. Dateline used to come on after Letterman. They showed a study that reported we, as a general mass, lie on average 200 times a day.!! I was blown away by that. Of course I lied here and there being a teenager. But still...200 times per day on average! blew me away. I make it a conscious effort to not even stretch the truth any. I'm not comfy with lying or lyres. I do realize there are certain situations that it is significant with our life and/or loved ones that we are better to bullsh*t.

the worst liars are the ones who feel they have to best you in everything with lies. example. I go fishing and catch a 5 pound bass. that guy who over hears my conversation and interjects himself "yeah that is OK but I caught a 10 pound bass this weekend and 4 5 pounders" you know he is lying. i will call them out. and say "bullshit" they get mad
