    thankless job. without nurses docs would fail a lot more

      Oh you are so right! Over the years,I have seen nurses do so much more than the docs in many situations. The one I loved the most was when a nurse overruled the docs orders right in front of my parents and I! The nurses order ruled

        Yep. Nurses are awesome. Ive also seen CNAs who had more influence over the outcome of the patient than the doctor

                I was in a pretty bad roll over some years ago and I got hurt pretty bad. I told the medics I had hiv, "no problem, we treat everyone like they got something". and we kinda had a good laugh. so I get to the Hospital and they give the ER doctor my rundown and he refused to treat me, said "oh I'm not touching that" and left me there in pain and bleeding from a gash over my eye. My friend was a corpsman in the Army so he just started grabbing 4x4's and helped me out best he could. But it was a Nurse that came in, told me I was in good hands and stitched me up.
