  • Fishing season has started!

Few bass from last week. Fishing season is getting going. Hoping to be posting up pics of some slobs. These will do for now.
I mostly bass fish but also fish for salmon, trout, tuna and striper. Pretty much any opportunity that represents itself I'm down but primarily setup for freshwater.

damn fine fish! i love bass fishing. never fished for salmon or tuna or really anything saltwater (specks and other inshore fish but nothing big)

what were you using. i suppose north east do y'all still have a few spawners or is it done. our spawn was late here in Texas as he had so much fluctuation from the rain. we are finally getting on the early summer pattern. lost a biggie last sunday. got a 8 last year. other than that not many over 3.

I wish I knew how to fish. Ive tried, but ended up frustrated with a tangled line all over the place. I sucked at it. There is trout just down the road and I could grill and eat trout every day. I could eat trrout 365 days

I was using a pink Yamamoto 5" senko wacky rigged with a weedless hook. I had to punch it deep into the trees pretty much on shore to get em. So much fun ripping them out of the bushes.
Yeah, this lake is right near cape cod. There is still some spawning going on but not sure where they are at right now.
8lbs is a monster man. Up north here that's a freak, if I fish hard I usually get a 6 maybe. There are ones much bigger but tough to get!!

i love stick baits. i use yum dingers only because I can get 2.5 packs for the same price as 1 senko pack. and I have not seen any diff in the way they catch. senkos are slightly heavier due to more salt and fall faster by a bit but they also tear up fast. still cannot go wrong with a stick bait or wacky worm

Yeah man those senkos are expensive!
They do tear easy buy last pretty long when wacky rigged.
Heading to casinos for a bachelor party this weekend but really going to miss the boat! :-(

What do you think this one weighed? I was pike fishing in Maine and this fish crushed a salt water stick bait. It was a Rapala x-walk, lure..lol
My scale didn't have batteries in it! Was so pissed! My pet peeve is guys throwing weights out on fish they didn't weigh. It's so hard to gauge.
I held it out obviously but when you see the gills like that you know it's a good one.

If I told people 8 it would be believable..

Pulled it out from that tree in the back with a 12" motor oil power worm.
