  • Oklahoma governor vetoes bill criminalizing performing abortions

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin vetoed Friday a sweeping and unprecedented measure that would have made performing an abortion a felony punishable by prison time, saying the bill was vague and would not be able to withstand a criminal constitutional challenge.

In today's age still dealing with this issue baffles me.

I haven't completely looked into this so not going to make a blatant statement. I am not for abortion by any means, I thought this bill was for those disgusting late trimester abortions where no can Deny that child is a child. I know my sons were born premis four months early and could fit in my hand. There a live and well. I can't imagine killing a child like that. I could be wrong but I thought that is what the bill was criminalizing.

i am not for abortions myself but here is my question: so since when can we pick which laws we enforce? since when does a state not have to enforce a federal law? and when we go back to the scotus when they made the decision to allow abortions, i am pretty sure that gov funding and gov assistance were forbidden. so no tax dollars to that type of procedure. i am lost that the fed and the state can just do whatever the fuck they want to and no one is held accountable for these actions

Liberals say aborting babies at 9 months is perfectly ethical but they say a lethal injection for a mass murderer is inhumane.
